alright so at the main end of step 4, I got a black screen. I removed the sd card, and I can boot to the home screen.
However, whenever I try to boot with the sd card in, I get that black screen.
Am I good to go on with step 5 now, or should I take another step to fix something?

So next week i am going to buy a blue vita 2000 for the sole purpose of installing henkaku. I kinda want to go ahead with my pstv or white vita 1000 but i wanna be able to go on the store freely. Thoughts anons? Should i shell out the extra money or work with what i have?

I figure this is the right place to ask, so here it goes.

I have two n3DSXL, and the one im using currently is, for lack of a better term, shitting the bed. I'm getting frequent crashes and the home menu is completely fucked and constantly moves to the right.

the other n3DSXL is new and fairly untouched, so simply put im thinking of doing a system transfer to the new handheld, and sending the old one back to nintendo to handle the warranty.


Here is my big issue though. I have a digital copy of monster hunter generations on my current 3DS, with a 250h save data I would be incredibly upset with losing. And I have had extremely bad luck with getting a system transfer, to also transfer save data from eshop games. I've tried google, and all of the info on this is fucking obscure and second hand and unhelpful.

I know you faggots know, I know at least one of you do.

If I system transfer, will my save data be safe and on the new 3DS? How do I accomplish this safely? Is there something specific I should/shouldnt do?

With all these crashes and fuckups im scared to continue trying to play on the current handheld regardless.

I'm going through the github arm9loaderhax guide and I'm part 5, the last step. When doing pic related it says that the size of the restored sysNAND is 943 MB, but I've been using a 4 GB SD card like an idiot and I only have 599 MB left.

My question is can I go out and buy a larger SD card and simply transfer all the files or is it more complicated than that?

You can brick a lot more if you count intentional savedata corruptions. There's a few exploitable physical games that trigger before you can reset them, a bad payload is pretty much a brick for those if you don't have a way to wipe the data. Super Mystery Dungeon is one on the 3DS, the DS has a few too (no real point in exploiting them but they exist).

1. Go to https://3ds.titlekeys.com/ and download the encTitleKeys.bin file
2. Use an ftp client (or take out your SD card and put it in your pc) and move the file over to your sd card
3. Use FBI to install freeshop (https://github.com/Cruel/freeShop/releases)
and title key updater (https://github.com/MatMaf/encTitleKeys.bin-Updater/releases/tag/v1.0)

You shouldn't need to update the file if you just got it since it'll be up to date.
The updater just makes it so you don't have to repeat steps 1 and 2 over and over

I want to revisit my modded Wii, it's the original Wii with Gamecube ports.

Haven't touched it for years, but I have Dios Mios Lite, CfgUSB loader, and snes9x.

What I want is to be able to boot straight into CfgUSB loader, i.e. to not even need the Wiimote.

I also want to be able to use Nintendo's in-house emulator for SNES & N64, instead of third party ones.

I have recently learned about the kernal problem, while i'm not sure if it is true, I have fixed that (and the "laggy" menu) by using YSMenu as my kernal.
