I started playing 5 days ago. I realy enjoy Evolve. I mostly played hunter, but after my first monster win I was literally shaking. One of the best experiences in gaming in a long time. I still enjoy hunters more. Im lvl 17 now and there is no real point to this post. I cant wait to understand more of the game and get realy bitter.

Naw Damage/Swap/Damage I think is still better

The % doesn't effect the shotgun as much but is nice for the rocket launcher. Synergize with a Cabot and that damage jumps even more. Parnell has good range so its not like you need to be boosting around as much as Lennox or Blitz. You should have more than plenty of fuel to take a rock or two and still get the altitude you need.

While its weak its still a tiny bit of extra damage on your rockets. Everything at tier 1 is kinda shit for Parnell so might as well add a little bit of extra damage since thats your main role as assault. He doesn't need any movement/jetpack buffs as much because his rage gives him speed and he has good range.

I often take T1 Health Regen on assaults, then either double Jetpack Hero or double Capacity for T2+T3.
That little bit of extra health regen can save your ass when somebody else is being focused in fights and the medic can't take time to heal your ass. The jetpack is to never lose LoS of the monster inside a dome.

Any newer players need tips? Monsters in particular but I know hunters pretty well. specific questions

You can try to counter this with move speed/feeding speed or damage resist perks, stack them high. For your average team, use Brawler - Cooldown - Cooldown. People can dodge your melee all day so you gotta rely on short cooldowns (esp fissure when somebody is running around a pillar constantly)

Start with 2 points of fissure and 1 in lava bombs (or vice versa), 1 in tongue grab. Predict their movement or hit their platform with your lava bomb - > land a tongue grab -> pop a fissure as they're flying to you -> melee the shit out of them, roll melee to finish them off. Hold down the tongue grab button and release to be sure you're going to land it. Stage 2 go 3 Fissure, 1 Tongue, 3 Lava. Only pick up rock wall if there's a Lazarus since you can murder somebody, block off right after they die and feed on them. Stage 3 put 1 in rock wall since 2 in tongue grab is more than enough and it can be used to cut off retreats but it's largely unreliable right now.

dome loses 60 seconds when x% of the monster's max hp is lost, armor doesn't count. if a goliath/MG is standing still at stage one with no armor when the dome goes down and you have your whole team headshotting him from start to finish the you can do about a quarter of his HP before the dome drops. the percentage increases when the monster stages up.

Alright I've heard your complaints about the frustration of a monster player losing their 20+ game win streak, so I think we here at Turtle Rock Studios have a solution.

Armor will also count towards taking down the dome, as health does. It doesn't make sense that you can just do that much damage to the monster and give him no escape. We hope that with this change, the game will finally be balanced.
