That seems to be the case. The latest PS1 Classics and PSP releases seem to lack the license to be transferable through PS3, sort of like Grandia or Magic Carpet.
>>
>>151292553
That's right The first 3 parts basically assist you in setting up an emunand again which you'll then convert as your sysnand for a9lh.

The old emunand will not work right off the bat. You'll probably have to copy that emunand and import it to the current SD (the one you're setting up a9lh to). Not sure about this though as I have never used emunand.

>>151296073
Might as well explain why before other retards complain about why you don't remap global.

Global is for RA's abstraction layer: RetroPad. It's similar to the SNES controller, obviously. Therefore 'A' on the RetroPad is, optimally recognized as 'A' for the SNES cores.

HOWEVER! What if you were to play a system that swapped them? Like PS1? X on PS is B on SNES, and that's what it's mapped to on the RetroPad by default.

Similarly, if you were playing Nintendo games on a PlayStation device and want X to be A, you'd map RetroPad B (the device's X button) to the core's A button.

>The nomenclature of a firmware version, as it's shown on the 3DS System Settings, is divided into three parts: the first three digits represent the firmware version without eShop features (which is the one stored on retail cartridges); the number after the dash represents improvements related to the eShop and can only be obtained via online update; and finally, the letter at the end represents the region of the console. The possible letters are for China (C), Europe and Australia (E), Japan (J), South Korea (K), Taiwan (T), and the Americas (U) which are the six regions with exclusive firmwares for each one.

this o3ds was hacked with gateway software like a year ago and never cared to updated it (my original sd has rxtools), the q&a of luma ask me to install some things but I don't have a cia intaller yet.

4)
I'm not going to instal al9h until I found my old sd, with that said, if I procceed with step-3 and format the current sysNAND, I will be able to use my old sd if I fount it?

That's true for CMA; QCMA should be able to restore backups of Vita (not PSP!) content from the device with the newer firmware onto the device with older firmware as long as both are activated on the same account.
Again, PSP games/demos cannot be restored and Vita games will only work if they themselves do not require a firmware newer than what's on the target device.
>>
>>151298192
PM yeah but with gamecube controllers no, only nintendont uses the gamecube adapter in vwii, the dev team were planning on getting it to work and said they were pretty close but in the end they couldn't do it

You can't transfer anything which you don't have on your PSN account because every time you attempt to transfer something from PS3 to Vita, your PSN account is checked for that content (also for license generating purposes). You can't even transfer legitimately owned content if you have no Internet or Sony blocked the exploited PSP game after you've downloaded it to a PS3 but before you transferred it.
>>
>>151308483
Theoretically you can grab DEX firmware from it and leak it to Rebug team in order for them to make their hybrid CEX+DEX "REX" firmware.

so if a ps3 logs in to psn as "bob69" and redownloads a vita purchase, that previously launched on the target vita , and this can be transferred

then a pstv @$30 updated to 3.61 can log in to psn as "bob69" to redownload the data, for back up to pc via qcma

and then via qcma restore to target vita

when was qcma blocked for use, ( its offline ) if not, this can be done

Yes, as long as the target Vita also is activated with "bob69" account. Although you should double check wololo forums for the 100% confirmation that PSTV backups can be restored on a Vita if you're planning to buy a PSTV for this, as I'm only sure on Vita->Vita part. Also remember that PSTV has a whitelist, so I doubt that PSTV-incompatible Vita game can be downloaded to a PSTV in the first place.
Get a PS3 if you can.

Oh piss off and give me the PSP days back or the early Gateway days. Having a dev/team just outright say "we're doing this for piracy" is what I want to hear, not this "I did an illegal thing (hacking a system), but I somehow think I'm above the other illegal thing (piracy)".

Everyone throws hate at Gateway these days (they're basically irrelevant now anyway), but they're entirely responsible for everything we have today, and they got us here thanks to being fueled by piracy bux. >>
>>151314559
You've got your history wrong. People have always called them backups. And in the earliest days they were even weirder about trying to cover things up. For example, they made up rules about how you were allowed to download ROMs but only if you deleted them in 24 hours. And they tried to keep law enforcement from entering their websites by making up laws and adding disclaimers like
>The creator of this page or the ISP(s) hosting any content on this site take no responsibility for the way you use the information provided on this site. These files and anything else on this site are here for private purposes only and should not be downloaded or viewed whatsoever! If you are affiliated with any government, or Anti-Piracy group or any other related group or were formally a worker of one you cannot enter this web site, cannot access any of its files and you cannot view any of the HTML files. All the objects on this site are private property and are not meant for viewing or any other purposes other than bandwidth space. Do not enter whatsoever! If you enter this site you are not agreeing to these terms and you are violating code 431.322.12 of the Internet Privacy Act signed by Bill Clinton in 1995 and that means that you cannot threaten our ISP(s) or any person(s) or company storing these files, cannot prosecute any person(s) affiliated with this page which includes family, friends or individuals who run or enter this web site.

The only thing that has changed is that it's easier now. In the past you had to have some soldering skill or be able to find a reputable Chinaman to sell you a massive device that would sit on top of your console and let you load ROMs from floppy disks. Pic related.

If you're trying to get a decrypted eboot, this won't help. There are two layers of encryption, and only the 'outer'/filesystem's pfs decryption can be bypassed at the moment. Executables such as eboots have their own encryption which is decrypted only when they're actually executed.

Two questions since I just got back in the states.

One, is it worth buying a cheap used secondary Vita for 3.60 for ISOs, will we eventually be able to download games? Or is it most likely impossible?

>>
>>151328120

it is a permament CFW

All PSP models have permanent CFW (though different methods to achieve it depending on whether it's a pandorable model)

But a pandorable model can never be bricked. You can delete everything on the flash chip and you can still recover it with pandora + mms
>>
>>151328120
3ds doesn't have permanent cfw though you never install cfw it's just on the sd and runs the emunand or sysnand with a9lh, a9lh itself is not cfw
>>
Gimme the essential 3ds apps besides CIAngel, Howling, and NTR
>>
>>151328120
it is, but you could delete all the files on the psp's nand and still have a recoverable psp with the pandora's battery.

permanent bricking your psp (on pandorable ones) will not happen.

it depends on what you want for your PSP. all models have pros and cons.

Go is the overall best model, specifically the screen, if you can deal with the weird grip (clawing is virtually impossible), proprietary memory (no M2 adapters and 16 gigs will cost you 40 bucks) and lack of UMD drive.

3K is pretty much the same as the Go except for the cons listed above but with one glaring flaw: scanlines. some prefer them, though.

then you have Pandora-able 2Ks which are fully hackable and have the best screen outside the Go and the 3K if the scanlines are a turnoff for you.

most people shit on the 1EK (Street) for the mono speakers and lack of wifi but the screen is basically the same as the 2K with the contrast cranked up, so you get almost as vivid colors as with the 3K but no scanlines.

the only models I can't recommend are cursed 2Ks because, if you're gonna get one, might as well track down a fully hackable one, and the 1K since it has half the RAM later models have and the worst screen. the only pro is infrared.
>>
>>151328120
Without going into TL;DR territory, Pandora-capable PSPs have the best kind of permanent CFWs. PermaCFWing newer ones has a risk of permabricking them.
Pandora also allows safe upgrading, downgrading and booting off of a memstick (in case the internal flash is physically fucked beyond any repair).

Except for PSP bubbles, sure.
I'm not upgrading my 3.18 Vita until I can run both PSP and PS1 games on 3.60.
PS1 bubbles are basically unusable after tasting TN-X with its fast forward and savestates.
>>
>>151330445

>3.18

Anything under ~3.55 should stay where they are and just wait for piracy. You can manually update to 3.60 at any time, so it would be stupid to upgrade now and get bitten in the ass at a later date if an exploit comes out.
>>
>>151330365
no. later shipments came with 'cursed' motherboards that can't be hacked.

I'm sure there's a list somewhere but I think red, GoW special edition ones are fully hackable for example.

you can check, just ask the seller to open the UMD drive and tell you the mobo revision.

you can hack any PSP if that's what you're worried about. even make them boot directly into the CFW nowadays.

2Ks are just fully hackable, meaning you can do pretty much anything you want. even brick them and then bring it back. you know, for fun.

piracy-wise though, there's no difference.
>>
>>151330887
Yup, just that the pre-ipl was changed and for the longest time prevented permanent cfw from happening. There was temp cfw available, but davey created a way to install permanent on them .

There isn't a huge difference these days. You'd only need a Pandora battery if you really hosed things up now. Which is difficult to do. Although technically there is a very, very small chance of a brick on all CFW installs. And the only PSPs you could fix it on are Pandora capable ones. But that's unlikely enough to happen it really shouldn't matter. It's basically up to your personal preference of the display, or if money matters and you find a good deal on something. I wouldn't really recommend the PSP Go just for the fact that you can't buy one pic related for super cheap storage. I've got a 64GB microSDXC in mine and it works great.

Mega and Google Drive are the fastest DDL hosts around. I get ~150Mbps on Mega and 300Mbps on Google Drive. Aside from that, firmware spoofing will not impact you so don't worry about it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/4vv2i2/new_3dsxl2ds_firmware_by_serial_august_2016/

Obviously it only applies to brand new consoles.
I really don't see the point, but if you insist on having a special model you may as well save money now and get a 2DS. If you go that route you should buy the downgrade game while it's still available.

Weird. I get way faster than that in the browser. There's also their sync client (newer versions make you login, I wish I still had an old version that didn't) and that opens the fucking floodgates of bandwidth. I can saturate my entire 300Mbps link if I'm downloading 2-3 things simultaneously with the sync client.

Yeah. I don't know what the issue is, but browser and sync speed are the same. I only have rural shitter DSL, but even my IDM Drive downloads are 10x that speed.

You can cheese a lot of fights just by having Ramza spam the Squire command that buffs all his good stats (most Squires can't use it, but Ramza and some of the other 'protag' characters like the kid from FFA2 can), to the point where he gets like four turns in a row and dodges everything. That's how I beat Weigraf.

After those two fights the difficulty is more fair for a while, and you get some new members who are broken as fuck. Protip: get a Mathemancer or whatever they're called and set them to AI control

It's hard to say otherwise based on the amount of games coming out for both.
The Vita currently has a 3 to 1 ratio against the 3DS, with the Vita getting them well into 2018.

I mean, I have both systems and all that but nintendo third-party support is lacking severely when compared to sony, and we could have been getting them for free if people actually cared enough to look past the memes

What does adhd have to do with it?
Downloading every game to play?
Or something else?
I actually do have adhd. And not the "my six year old wont sit still during a boring ass class, he must have adhd." type. My brain is actually rather fucked chemically, and I haven't even ever done drugs.
>>
>>151352223
There's no point to buying one of those. They're not even cheap, since you can get a PNY or Silicon Power card for the same price on Amazon. And it won't have to ship on a slow boat from China. /csg/ just shills them because they look cool, are the only Chinese microSDs that aren't fake, and they're addicted to buying shit from China.

I'm gonna keep providing as much extra info as I can, regardless, as, again, I know that other people have had the same issue before even while following the guide.

Either way, I'm done discussing it. Your useless caviling about an irrelevant side-issue is really unimpressive.

Okay, I've got another question here and looking around for a fix on the internet hasn't yielded a solution, so here goes.

I'm at Part 4 on the guide, the 2.1.0 downgrade and I'm trying to launch Decrypt9. So far I've tried about 10 times, and each time I just get a quick flash of a red screen on the bottom screen followed by a black screen with some white text in the top left corner (following the red screen on the bottom display), then just black on the upper and lower displays. Should I just keep trying, or is there something I need to correct? I've revisited the previous steps in Part 4 (and completed part 3), and everything seems to be where it should be on the SD card.
