It's kinda hard to tell who of the main characters will be marked for death for the future. But they seem to like to fuck with the idea of making it seem characters will die and than instead keeping them alive or something..

Man, that entire 2.5 ending sequance was so fucking amazing and had such great set up for HW, and then they conpetely subverted it and the details in it. HW is great but I think the sultana actually being alive was a big 'fuck you'. Though it does make me question what exactly Lolorito's plan is.

They did get better at teasing death in HW though and did carry it out a few times, so there's that I guess.
Honestly thought Aymeric and/or Estinien weren't gonna make it out of the Nidhogg thing alive.

Also worth mentioning that main characters tied to important side-content, like Alisae and Urianger with coil, probably won't kick the bucket since they are part of something you can go back and do at any time.

If we go by this logic, it can also be assumed that Cid, Biggs, Wedge, and Yshtola will also be plot immune since the first three have ties to Crystal Tower and the later has ties to Alexander.
