Junkrat has been my favorite hero since the beta and I've come to realize exactly why people say he's so bad.

He's good at killing all of the 200hp heroes, but the fact he can't do shit against any of the tanks with their massive health pools and shields really fucks with his usefulness.

I propose two buffs:

1.) Junkrat's bombs deal bonus damage vs shields
2.) Junkrat's bombs deal bonus damage vs enemies with over 300hp

Now Junkrat is a good demoman.

He's one of those heroes that can't be balanced for a comp level because he'll just become the ultimate pubstomper. It's because of these two different groups of players that him, Bastion and the other defense heroes are in the place they are in.

I just had my first comp match today
We won
And holy shit was it fun
Zarya at full charge with a damage boost from Mercy makes me almost feel like Mercy isn't a useless healer.
Sure it's not entirely different than qp, but enough so that the people I was playing with were talking to each other and having fun.
Gotta say that was such a relief after playing QP to 25.

During the third round I used Lucio's ult right as the entire team had a collective 500 health and that helped push us to a win. God damn I had so much fun.

Not that guy, but I approach it the same way I play any game's ranked mode. Namely, don't play if I'm in a bad mood/tired/whatever, and don't keep playing if I get irritated. If I hit that point early, I just do quick play and have fun.

Get two hits on one for the kill which resets your dash, then dash to the next one and repeat

Don't rush into a group of five people and press Q with no backup, you'll get discorded and focused down fast. Solo queue won't ever give you the specific backup it needs to become an instant team wipe, but still, I like to use mine during team fights when the enemy team will have to choose between keeping up the team fight and turning around to kill the angry weeb man. Also good to use it after a friendly Lucio or Zen ult since you'll be difficult or impossible to kill for a few seconds.
