Yomawari: Top-down survival horror game with a great minimal atmosphere, cute but effective visuals, and a good mix of violence and surrealism. It's kind of like Yume Nikki vs Witch's House, with a good bit of Fatal Frame thrown in for the legitimate old-Japanese town feeling.

Carnage Heart EXA: Post-mortem PSP game that's on PSN. About as in-depth of a mecha sim as nobody could ever ask for, you literally program every step of your mech's movements and abilities from scratch. Awesome game.

Utagumi 575 (requires slight japanese knowledge) - rhythm game where you construct haiku yourself while also matching the beat. You have to ensure both your lyrics make sense and that they fit the haiku structure. Surprisingly cool.

Also stuff like Tearaway, Ultra Despair Girls, TxK, Ciel nosurge (requires Japanese), Oreshika 2, Magical Beat, Sayonara Umihara Kawase, and for the icing on the cake, you can play Earth Defense Force and Jet Set Radio on it. And tons of DRPGs.

Also the upcoming Mary Skelter looks really fucking cool.

Well I tried desmume. 3d intensive stuff like Animal Crossing get me a silky smooth 3-7 fps, even without sound. Surprisingly I can get 20- 37 fps with Apollo Justice with sound.

What exactly do I need to do to go from gateway + ninjahax CFW that's accessed through browserhax to arm9loaderhax via the plailect guide?
The other day I successfully put arm9 on an old 3DS that had 8.xx firmware. It was pretty straightforward, and props to plailect and the others for making the guide so easy to use. But this feels a bit different.

Some info for you guys:
This 3DS XL I have right now already has a CFW, RX3D 11.0.0-33E to be exact. It can only be accessed through the web browser,
where you're taken into the Roxas menu (says "reboot.ms - 3DS launcher" on the loading bar) with 4 options:
1. Boot Launcher.dat
2. Boot rxTools.dat
3. Boot Luma3DS.dat (I actually added this one after seeing the luma .gif, but it doesn't do anything)

Now "2. Boot rxTools.dat" takes you into another Roxas menu after holding "RB" where you choose the option "launch into emunand mode" or something like that, and it boots you into the rxTools CFW.
The one I'm curious about is "1. Boot Launcher.dat". When I click on that, it actually boots me into a gateway menu.
Here's some info on the gateway menu:

1. the overhead says "Gateway 3DS ULTRA v3.4.1
2. the options are "boot gateway mode", "boot vlassic mode", "backup system nand", "backup 3ds game cartridge", "backup 3ds savegame", "restore 3ds savegame", "diagnostic test", "format emunand", install nvram", "downgrade console"
3. the upper screen is just a picture of a red dragon with "GATEWAY" written below also in red letters

Keep in mind, I bought this used, so I never tampered with it aside from the luma3DS thing.

Alright, was following the Plailect guide on Part 2, downgrading to 9.2.0. plaiSysUpdater installed a decent amount, but gave me the "An error has occured... reboot." black screen.

I cannot boot with the SD Card installed, but I can boot to the home screen with it removed, and then push it back in.

The guide says:

I spent $125 on a like new, white Vita fat not too long ago. Still need to decide what larger memory card to get. If piracy happens I'll cough up the $100 for the 64gb. I also spent $8 on a USB to Vita charger adapter thing at Bestbuy. Since the adapter has microUSB as well its convenient to be able to use my cellphone charger for my Vita. Pic related. Is there any benefit to changing over to the newer cfw that is in the guide now? What are the changes? rxtools is still working for me, and I can still play online. I haven't run into any issues but if there are new features in the other cfw I'd be interested in changing.

I just bought a VIta, and I'm trying to update to 3.60 instead of 3.61. Have been following this guide: http://www.psx-place.com/threads/tutorial-how-to-manually-update-vita-pstv-zload-not-required.9337/

Everything went well until I get to system update. When I click next, I get an error (C3-11038-3) saying the file is corrupt. I downloaded the 3.60 PSVUPDAT.PUP yesterday straight from Sony's update website, and I edited the psp2-updatelist.xml to include the region as US and all numbers to 03.603.600. Is there anything I'm missing? Is the region tied to my account region? If so, I'm using a brazilian account, but I've already tried changing the region id to br, pt and la, and those just give me an error, and don't even detect the update.
