LBG itself is actually pretty shit in this game, however gainst some monsters who have lots of hitzones and are weak as fuck to element (Glavenus for example) you can kill them before running out of Internal Elemental Pierce ammo, so you use Parasol/Zamtrios etc. LBGs for those, and they will get fucking obliterated. But if the monster can't die before those shots are used up you're better off not using LBG at all because Lv 1 elemental rapid shots suck dick and you'll sit there for 15 minutes trying to kill something.

I never thought to confirm this in MH4U and now in MHgen, but is it true that quests are slightly easier in hunters hub if your offline? No one wants to help with this fucking plesioth, and have had everyone drop on what I was told on takeing turns. Number of people helped:4, number of times helped: 0. So I'm about to fucking do it alone offline, since I'm at work.

So I've been playing aerial Greatsword and aerial Gunlance but I kind of want to change things up. I want to play adept Charge Blade because perfect guards are fun but I really hate how CB axe mode feels in general but love how sword mode feels and I love the stupid Energy Blade HA. Athena's ass is telling me I have to choose between focus and loading until I can get hyper akantor parts for my bow set
so which one?
I'd assume focus for the greater number of striking opportunities, but loading would provide greater damage and longer range

I've been using Lagiacrus S armor (Stamina Recover, Elemental +1, and gemmed in Piercing +1) combined with bows that have both an elemental attribute an Pierce S.

What should I look for in a Bow set now that I've unlocked my HR? Besides just FastCharge?

How bad are non-elemental DB's in Generations really? I assume that most mid to late game monsters like Uraggan and Brachydios that move a lot and have hard to reach good hitzones they are crap; but, I find it kicks ass for early shit like Ludroth and Blagonga.

Sorry for idiocy, I'm a scrub. I used them a tad in 4U and 3U, and they seemed pretty much useless without Para, blast or a lot of a certain element.

with 27 stun element I haven't once gotten a stun off during hunts so I just ditched the weapon

striker + insight + hunter's drink + deviant weapon + hitting red spots

I wanted to get into other weapons in this new game what with all the cool new styles and arts. But they went and made my weaponfu better than it has ever been. Aerial style is so much fun, I can re-position myself around monsters without pumping the brakes on the rape train. Being able to dodge blows by flying over them and getting behind the monster or mounting it on a flat map is so great. I feel so conflicted.

can anyone tell me what the 1st armor set is in this video?

I'm missing some requests. I have 119 requests completed. Got the awards for all requests complete in Yukumo and Kokoto but not the ones for Bherna or Pokke. I've done quests to cycle days, cleared quests that looked like they might unlock something, and I've looked at a request list but it was incomplete and I had more finished than were on the list. I had them all on there. What could I be missing? HR requirements? I'm at HR 115.

You move forward about three steps worth when you start the shoryugeki. It's best to use it during tail spins or some other animation as easily predictable. You know where their head will be as the second spin ends so just go there and lead your target. Time it so that its head moves right into your uppercut as they turn. That way you will land both the uppercut and the descending bash if you have level 3 of it for that.

What's the point in playing a gunner?

Basically bonus health, super attacks which have a sound que beforehand (and faster timings which FUCK ME UP), and that's all she wrote.

On some monsters' it's just a dumb damage boost and easy to ignore. On others where you rely on exhaustion or timings, it makes it a special kind of hell.

GS is one of the easiest weapons, but ironically it's kind of shit to use against a lot of the easy starter monsters since they move too much to get in anything other than spammy swipes and quick swings.

HBG is usually in a tier of its own.
LBG always has a few monsters it completely annihilates to make up for mediocrity everywhere else.
Bow is consistently a strong pick since P3rd, but like GS it's reliant on having optimal armor skills.

Don't kick them before they start dying. One good gunner in your group can account for more damage than anyone else if they know what they're doing. Especially if they've got Adept on for easy dodging.

Striker HBG pretty much acts like Limiter Removal in the older games, and having Gunpowder+GunsBlazing can make for some pretty good DPS. I think Adept for LBG is fine though, it's arts suck, unless you can reliably use the back-hop/mine art as a proper escape.

There is no fight in the game that should need more than the mats from one extra ammo, and you absolutely dont need the combine skill or art. The only exception might be those super long 4 enemy hunts (solo) where you'll want mats for multiple pierce and normal S2. Youre way overstating the difficulty of managing and acquiring ammo.
