Hunter Art damage is buffed whenever a monster is trapped/KOed/Knocked Down. For attack arts this usually means a damage increase, buff arts usually get a timer increase I think, and the evade arts get two evades back to back. It doesn't expire after a HA is used, but lasts for like 30 seconds and applies its effects to all HA's used during it's duration.

There are 4 quests like that, to introduce the fated four. They had 3 times more hp than normal, to discourage you from killing them and getting their materials so early in the game. They are also not part of the quest objective.

While you can't consistently hit the head as well as you can when playing solo because the monster won't always face you, the fact that multiple people are hitting the monster leads to the monster flinching, tripping, getting mounted, and exhausted and paralyzed more frequently, and when those things happen, you can easily beat the monster's head in.

Death prize is pretty good para sns. I can consistently get 2 paras off per online hunt, sometimes 3. And that is without the status skill. If you're lucky to get more than 1, you're not being aggressive enough.

This is the only para weapon I use though, I usually don't bother with status weapons. Especially in gen, most of them seem to have been nerfed pretty harshly. Death prize is at least viable in groups, but I wouldn't bring it for any major fight, just simple stuff like regular tiggy, narga, gore, etc. It helps everyone get breaks easier, rather than just bring more damage and blowing the monster up before getting all breaks.
