I'm constantly trying to go around stuff and just running into it like a McCree starts his ult and I want to blink behind boxes that are behind me and 9/10 times just end up going right into them and getting stuck and dying. Learn the maps? Tracer's Blink isn't some kind of magical snake that you need to learn to charm.

It goes x units in the direction you're strafing into. Hold the direction key in which you want to blink, and blink.

Learn the maps and placement of objects and walls if you don't want to backpedal into them.

Also, keep in mind Tracer has no real altfire, so you can bind her Blink to RMB which makes it more comfortable to use.

I played with an 'ana main' today who almost lost of the first round for us because she wouldn't switch, then when she finally swapped to lucio after much convincing and only for the coin flip, she jumped infront of a rheinhardt shield and died instantly, then we lost the coinflip because we had no lucio to heal us and the walk back was 20 seconds. Shit really sucked. This was rank 66 mind you. I don't know how these people get up here. I really dont get how its possible to eek up the ladder that high and not be capable of standing there for passive heals without dieing, and ulting once in a while.

Launch up a Custom Game with only yourself in it, set it to Skirmish Mode in the options and explore each map at your own pace.

You will find a lot of underappreciated, underused passages. For example, most people ignore that the Overwatch "Skyranger" aircraft thing has several exits, which always lead to alternate routes.

Nepal Sanctum has particularly interesting and underappreciated side routes. Just load up the maps in solo play and check them out.

The hard part is that if you actually get DRUNK you're even worse than before, you gotta find that slightly buzzed level where it just calms your nerves a bit but doesn't make you drowsy or stupid, and then manage to keep it that way.

It's actually quite difficult to make a class explicitly good at defending things. The best defense heroes in the game are tanks because having a shit ton of health on point is actually really good.

I would make every class either a support, healer, tank, or damage character with obvious hybrids existing anyway.

A lot of the defense heros would be better if they were balanced around one of those categories.

The problem with "defense" heroes is that the naming is stupid and that the meta doesn't favor them. They should really be called "support DPS" or something. None of them except Mei make any sense for actual defense in the current meta because they're only good at inflicting damage and can't actually hold back pushes and get into the thick of the fight.

I have a gut feeling that we'll see more triple tank setups on defense start to emerge, because they're the ones that can really act as a "wall" against pushes and contest points for reasonable amounts of time etc.

Players who would've been 45s on day one are getting 60 now, and so the mid-high ranks are filling up with shitters and making a situation where solid players who've been doing comp the whole time are getting matched up with incompetent noobs that jumped into ranked for the free CP.

Season 2 should be better, hopefully.

I think that Blizzard built the game expecting single support, single tank, and 4 DPS. Defense heroes make a lot more sense when they're one of 4 "slots" and you can afford to have one hero whose only job is knocking HP off of the enemies, not so much when they're taking a slot away from Genji or McCree or somebody else more useful.

The only thing that's 20Hz is the updates to your client which is irrelevant because interpolation works fucking fine for visual purposes only.

Without them, it's always toxic "fuck you this is not my fault that I picked a fucking widow on hanamura attack, this is YOUR fault!" players, russian "gg my team noob((((" players, playing for "fun xd" players etc. versus the fucking ultra hyper steamroll gregor team. Whoever says that you can "carry" the game is objectively wrong. You can't. It also doesn't mean that I'm a shitter and I'm not trying really hard. Don't tell me that losing is a part of the game either. Losing two times is alright. Losing 10 times is critical.

I bought this game because I'm a TF2 veteran who played ETF2L and had FUN and I really loved the Overwatch's beta. After they released the competitive mode, it all went downhill. I had a ball for 100+ hours, but now I can actually see how bad the competitve system and player base are. I don't regret buying it, I regret that Blizzard fucked everything up with such potential.

He has a 100% pick rate in every single team comp since forever. He has the highest overall healing out of any support hero and can heal the entire team at the same time, which really boosts fast/nimble squishies. His sound barrier is amazing on defence and offence, and is the ult of choice to start team fights with while attacking, and it directly counters offensive ults.

However, all of that is nothing on what makes Lucio amazing. Speed boost. A large part of the reason why defence heroes are unplayable right now is because they excel in area control and choke points. Lucio's speed boost means any attacking team can blitz through those areas instantly. And he can do it 8 times a minute or something. Oh and he can shoot and help damage the enemy during all of this. Also his movement style is erratic and due to his wall ride a top Lucio will be one of the hardest targets to hit in the game.
