Elements seem to cap at 250, and that's about all grinding chips seems to do?

Max your level in es asap. The damage you get from (strong)weapons is a % based on mastery(rises with level).
Always use appropriate weapon for your class. For example only gunner gets TMG mastery.
Get good chips from the medal scratch :^)
Use a strong PA(from scratch). Dunno which ones are good but the best currently is elder rebellion for TMG.

general rule:
the higher the star rarity, the better
enemy weapon chips are garbage even at 11*
tech chips are all shitty
passives are usually better than actives (black corner chips)

in depth:
check http://pso2es.swiki.jp/ for their modifier category (Group A-E), and pick the best of each category and boost element
some combos work really well together - (sara inflicts poison and raises damage, saga doubles damage on status effect, people sometimes prefer el ahda for this)
PA chips are a lot harder to judge at a glance, but right now tmg's ER is considered the best
ds's Illusion Rave, gunslash Kreisenajksbjfjhsdf and iirc td's oooorchestra are also good PA choices

So the people who have these weapons have nothing to really do with them for such long extended periods of time and grow bored.

As they keep adding more and more piss easy ways to get 13 stars(handing them out like candy), as well as making them VERY simple, painless, easy, and cheap to grind to +30, the amount of people bored out of their mind increases more and more everyday.

We've gone too long in a majority SH difficulty based game. 13 stars exist, it's time for XH or even further difficulties to be a thing for every quest in the game.

Steamrolling through daily quests, featured, XQ, and non-28+ risked AQ really isn't fun. There's too much content that gives good things(collection file progress + lots of meseta) that poses no actual challenge because my weapon is too overpowered for said content.

The thing about the content that's actually "challenging" in this game is that it's less about your gear (although having a certain baseline level is important) than it is just having an awareness and grasp of how things work in any given quest. That's pretty much how it's been since the beginning.

I gave this game a try like one year ago. I grew tired of map recycling, but I enjoyed the combat system quite a lot. I didn't get close to the max levels, but would coming back now tire me with the same issues?

Saiki units are part of the Tokyo bonus quest's overall drop table, they don't actually specifically come from Tagamikazuchi at all. There are places where you can encounter them in the wild on their own, and they will never drop a Saiki unit for you there.

Gigur Gunnegam and its rare version are the enemies it originally dropped from, and before the Tokyo bonus quests were added, they were the only source of them.

DPS check is third party and has debatable 'good' uses. Mostly it was used to dick-wave and harass other people. And again, it was third party.

Gear check has several important uses (wanting to know item/camo names that you see someone else using, for example) and is sometimes used to harass others. I'd argue it's a little bit more effort to do so with, too, since you have to take 3-4 screenshots and edit an image with them, whereas with DPS check, all you have to do is screenshot the window. Gear check is also first party.

Why does it matter if it's third party or first party? Because SEGA can always adjust first party abuse if they want to. They have no control over the DPS check or any other third party tool, no way to let users opt out of it, etc. Therefore, it's better for them if they ban it.

Honestly i've just been trying to get a rainbow set of *13 rods and talises. SInce mr ANONYMOUS and various other people told me that having a rainbow set of these two wep types were necessary to being a good FO

A lightning talis is the only other thing you might want outside of what I mentioned, in case Ult Amd is a thing that comes out soon, but that's it. Wind is shit and talis zondeed and ragrants is better against XH phantom mobs than wind techs are.

I played for 1 week during boost week and now the entire game besides a few EVERY specific quests are a cakewalk.

I can't even do dailies or featured without being bored out of my mind anymore because everything dies in 1 hit, and bosses in less than 30 seconds.

That isn't fun. I've reached the end of the game and now it's time to put it down.

They're kinda fucked at this point and really put themselves in a corner. They released weapons that far outpace any enemy scaling until at least level 81-90 enemies.

I honestly don't know what the hell they can do at this point. Ultimate is the only quests with properly scaled enemies, but it rewards fucking nothing. Literally nothing.

We literally need ultimate of every quest type at this point. Power creep has gotten COMPLETELY out of control. Nothing but enemies with ultimate level scaling are a threat anymore, even if we were fighting level100 enemies that took 5 minutes to kill a boss and 30 seconds to kill a trash mob I think their AI would make them too weak, so they need ultimate's insane AI and mob mechanics.
