Amatsu is a big deal but not as much as a big deal as Fatalis and Alatreon. Nakarkos is the same and would prefer to let the others die before eating instead of fighting. Shagaru is the weakest of them despite having the most overpowered skill of them all, that however doesn't work on elder dragons.

So i'll give it to Fatalis simply because Alatreon is elementally unstable.

If you use Pierce and don't want to invest in Recoil Reduction for Shaggy, and you're using Mizutsune or White Narga HBG (Which are the best Pierce HBGs when not fired in crouching mode) you probably want to go Striker and get Evade extender and such. Honestly Pierce HBG + White Narga Gunner set is a pretty decent combination.

How much damage do your average attacks do?

For example, if I do a single lvl 3 charge (normal one) with the GS, how many attacks of an LS combo is that worth so to say?

I know you can't just give a value because of a billion factors, but I'm just curious overall how combos/attacks of various weapons compare to each other, assuming equally good equip

Mizu HBG for pierce, shaggy for normal.

Attack up, weakness exploit (for normal), peak performance, shot type up, and critical eye are all good skills. I've heard chain crit can be good for pierce, since it effectively acts as a free critical eye+3.

I'm pretty bored of the Steve SA, does anyone have any other eclectic axes that are fun to use? Do any combo well with blunt, or something? Underrated/fun status or element ones? In 4u I ended up with like 12 different axes and used them all depending on what I was fighting, here options seem a lot more choked by sharpness and bad vials/lack of decor slots.

What i did was i hired 12 Assist cats and sent Meownster Hunters against Gypceros whenever it was up. If you get 4 Purple cats on Gypceros on high rank you get up to 16 Dash Extracts from that. Low Rank 8 max.

I just didn't play Dual Blades for a long time and stocked up on Mega Dash Juice for endgame. I don't think you can keep 100% stocked up on Dash Juice if you were to use DB on every single hunt

Soon, in MH8, adept will be a staple and completely necessary as everyone uses it, then they'll just remove the other styles because they are unecessary considering 90% of the playerbase uses Adept. It won't take long to have a game completely balanced around Adept, a completely different game, a shit game.

Usually, when you spoil the playerbase with a new addition, that addition remains, while others get changed to accomodate to it. Specially when many new players enter that game. Just look at some of the complaints about Gen not having "Endgame" like 4U had, considering there were many new players with 4U. You suddenly made a big new part of the playerbase desire for monotonous endgame progression like the GQs instead of enjoying making new armor sets and fighting different monsters like in past games.
Hell, its obviously uncertainties, but if the next game has something similar to GQs, its because it is what the playerbase complained the most about the lack of in Gen and will give them profit if added again. Profit is all that matters.

Based on my simplified math and assuming you always power shot and always hit weak spots the first one averages out to 295 raw and the second at 291. The less power shots you do the worse the second one gets, but only by a max of like 15 raw if you never power shot. The first one gets significantly lower if you miss weak spots. Basically they are close enough that it really depends on your play style but the second set is more flexible.
