If you're on PC I would recommend starting with P3rd. There is a work around to play the emulated PSP games online with others on your PC but I doubt the online community is active. While you can play the whole game entirely alone if you wish part of the fun is playing with others

If you happen to have a 3DS or Wii U I would pick of MH4U or MH3U. Generations isn't really beginner friendly when it comes to tutorials

A nice balance for HH would be to just dish out the Attack Up songs and rebalance the motion values to be competitive with the other weapons.

If the excuse for HH being so fucking weak is that it would be too powerful if you sum AuL with aa average weapon attack, just give situational bonuses to HH songs. Maybe maintain elemental atk up and affinity boost songs, but Attack boost has to go.

hunter arts and styles are fun but some weapon changes make no goddamn sense (ie lance charge finisher hits harder than a superpound), while all the best arts are simply damage boosts

also the game doesn't go out of its way to fix old problems with the series like only a handful of weapon lines being far and above the best in a sea of aesthetic garbage, so that's disappointing

in a way all the problems are summed up by capcom's poor balance, but there's more variety in gen in terms of gameplay so i already prefer it over the tedious relic grind in 4u, which burned me out faster than any other monster hunter game

So I'm on village HR 6 and did all the key quest. I got the red dialogue saying "Speak to each chief village because shit is going down"
I went to the chiefs and they say nothing special in fact it's just generic dialogue.

How do I proceed even though I did all the key quests except Fated Four since they aren't there?

Adept DBs are probably the most ridiculous because you have like a full three seconds of invulnerability after an evade. It makes Silverwind an absolute joke.

I also feel like it's actively hurting my ability to play. The same thing happened in both 3U and 4U after I made Evasion+2 sets. It altered my playstyle, and my positioning skills got rusty.

You need to do one HR2 quest from argosy captain. Besides that, the actual quest the get the feather (into the frying pan) Has monsters that will one-shot you in LR armor, so you'll probably want to wait to take it on.

Anyone know of any irc/discords for organizing hunts? The Reddit one is okay, but they're casual when it comes to monster hunter, very hugbox oriented letting bads slide with poor game knowledge because "it's just for fun". And the mhg discord isn't really monster hunter discussion, just anime and furry posting. I doubt there is a good steam community for the game because it's not pc.

How is monster hunter clan or the gamefaq one, anyone know? I wish this general wasn't dead or else id just organize here but 30-45 minutes to fill a slot is extremely, this place is simply not active enough.
Id like to organize 4x GS runs and other wacky shit again like I did during 4u.
