Not having Ragna's Inferno Divider or Azrael's backdash is really troublesome. I've been relying on those moves far too much, it seems.

I think you really just gotta block. Valk's 5A hits horribly high so I think you're gonna whiff it if you manage to hit it during a gap, and if i'm not mistaken his 2A is on the slow side. His 6A loses to lows and doesn't have armor from frame 1, so while I'm sure you can make a hard read with it it's definitely not something you can rely on.
I think your best options are using barrier and instant barrier to create the gaps you need to jump out or whiff punish. Valk has crazy movement options so if you can find a place to jump out it's probably your best option.

Vega's cr.mp in SF2 might be better, but that was promptly nerfed in each subsequent iteration. Throughout 7 games now, the Messiah Kick has consistently been the best normal in the game.

In BBCS, Ragna receive Belial Edge, which was pretty good for him.
In BBCP, Dead Spike was changed and he received Bloodscythe. Well, Dead Spike's new mechanics were a little better for him, but Bloodscythe's kinda gimmicky. Still, BBCP was the strongest Ragna had ever been.
In BBCF, Belial Edge was changed to Nightmare Edge, which is less useful overall, though a lot simpler to use.

To be honest, if they were gonna replace one of Ragna's specials, I think Gauntlet Hades would have been the better choice.

The thing about Ragna is that he's always been a high-risk, low-reward character. Many of his moves are very risky for the little advantage they give him. Coupled with how incredibly straightforward he is, and it's obvious why he's not a very popular character to use. It's hard to breathe easy unless you have 50+ heat.

Gauntlet Hades is too easy to whiff so it's something you always have to be very cautious with. I've even seen high level players miscalculate and whiff with Hades' tk. Ragna honestly doesn't have any moves that don't make you feel uneasy unless you have 50 heat ready. Of course, as long as he has 50 heat, he can be fairly versatile.

You can go into specials afterwards sure, but both Blood Scythe and Dead Spike can be straight up punished on reaction out of that. Your only 'safe' option is Hell's Fang, again, ends your pressure.
Really don't know what you're trying to say. If it was that you can get out of 6B without blowing meter safe and but still end pressure, sure, you're right about that. You'd still be breaking his legs taking away one of the few ways he has to open people up during his push-heavy pressure.

I agree with you, but mostly because the scriptwriting for the english dub was absolute trash. You know the voice actors can do X from their other scenes, but either the voice direction (Makoto's intro with Relius in CP making her sound downright scared out of her mind) or the writing itself (some of Jin's DD lines vs Ragna going from a yandere brocon fit to 'ur so stupid) just fucks it beyond any level of tolerance. The majority of my complaints are between these two. Very rarely do I think the voice actor just doesn't fit (Doug Erholtz just can not ever in his whole lifetime make Terumi sound nearly as psychotic as he's supposed to, OR do the laugh, even if he's decent as Hazama).
