Anyone else thinking about dropping the series if the next game is on 3DS too? I'm getting really fucking tired of using this thing as an input device. It's simply a worse experience than you'd have with an actual gamepad. I know MH will forever be a handheld game due to how popular it is in Japan, and that Japanese people play it a lot on the train or meet up with others in public to hunt together, which is why i genuinely hope that the Nintendo NX will actually be a handheld hybrid like the rumours state, so i can actually play MH with two actual fucking sticks again like i did with 3U on Wii U

The best thing about Aerial I suppose is that if you vault off a monster, hit A, and land both hits it totals something like 90 motion value and you can do it again as soon as you land so it's pretty good damage.
The bad part is that it's one-note as fuck since if you can land them on the head you're doing your hammer job, plus doing good mounting damage and raw damage at the same time.

I do adept hammer personally, lvl 3 strong charge is satisfying as hell to land. The animation is just so exaggerated, it's great.

The reason is that elemental shots level 1 deal 35 elemental damage, and level 2 58. So without Rapid Fire it's just fucking terrible compared to Raw damage.

You can run Art expert + Razor Sharp + load up + attack up (if it's fits) if you use adept/aerial. Or change load up to Guard+1/2 if you use guild/striker. This is the standard build though. If you want the most optimal build, just use the cookie cutter crit boost set which gives crit boost + weakness exploit + razor sharp + crit eye+2/3, and use shell only for getting the heat gauge to red.

How the fuck do you get good at LS?
I seriously believe it's one of the hardest weapons to master. The spirit gauge depletes so fast until it's maxed and the red bar also goes down so fucking fast that you really need to know the perfect openings to get it up fast and keep it up the entire hunt.

One fucking combo and you already have to refresh the red bar because it lasts for what, 30 seconds?

run in for a few hits then use the sidehop slashes to keep up the offensive while moving out of the monster's attack

if you cant keep the red gauge at least keep the yellow gauge. refreshing the yellow gauge goes all the way back up to red again.

remember to use sakrua slash if you need to refresh quickly before you reach white

I made Mosgharl Ribguard, Tendril and Radicles and combined it with an attack talisman/jaggi belt and gemmed my bow and Melahoa hat with attack gems. It can be a lot easier to get attack up s if you use the jaggi helm instead of the melahoa.
