Just rolled Mode red. I liked Nero a lot as my favorite saber servant, but Mordred really grew on my in my time playing this game so I can't decide. Unfortunately I dumped a metric shitton of mats into Nero skills already.

Even for gameplay purposes, he's great. At level 90, he's a 4 cost unit with the stats of a 4* and some great abilities.

The main issue with Nero is that her IP is not reliable. If you have an Ozy or pair her with a support one she's easily stronger than Mordred. Mordred doesn't really require any team setup whatsoever and will always reliably do her thing.

I maxed Nero because I like her a bit more, I think it comes down to personal preference.

I don't think any Berserker is worth it. They already hit hard enough and die easily enough, it won't change much. Lancer Cu can potentially be on par with a regular Scathach since you can max his NP easily.

If you only plan on using it on one per class, use it on Nero. Her skillset is unique across all classes and is more likely to carry quests by herself. Mordred just AoEs really hard, which a lot of other servants do as well. If you need Nero to AoE really hard reliably you can just grab a support Ozy.

It depends on what you need / how much use you have for Nero then. She's a staple in the last slot for me because she can often save fights by herself, but if you don't use her for that she's mostly outclassed (unless paired with Ozy of course).

The way I play is very standard. I bring her when I need to kill Lancers pretty much. I really like how much she heals for and when the IP kicks in, its amazing the attack buff it gives and thrice setting sun is a godly skill that has saved me countless times. I also like to charge up NP on the first two waves and unleash it in the 3rd where the boss or hard monsters usually are.

I assume Mordred is better for this,
