Well, that's not quite true. He was handling Siegfried in melee without much problem, and by all acounts Siegfried is an excellent swordsman. And he did defeat both Chiron and the raging Atalanta in melee, in both cases he did so without his invulnerability and stat buff, and Chiron especially is said to be a master of martial arts.

yeah they're actually really good paralels in that reguard. Both of them are Servants who bathed in "magical water" and became invincible except for a single spot on their body. Even their personalities polarize with Siegfried being a Stoic warrior and Achilles being a Loud and Proud.

It's a boring and simple but effective NP that makes sense in lore, the thing that makes Chiron such an awesome heroic spirit is his Wisdom that can grant him skills and pass them on to other heroes.

Chiron is actually a pretty interesting foil to Atalanta in the same war now that I think about it. His NP is cost effective but pretty average in power but his stats are great for an archer he is skilled in various areas and is wise. Atalanta has better NPs but her stats are pretty weak

Sigurd was the Original Legend and the Hero who used Gram, Siegfried is a german adaption of Sigurds tale with differences here and there.
For example Sigurd has a horse that is the Child of Odins Horse. But Siegfried has an invisible cape that makes in invisible and greatly improves his strength.
Siegfried is propably weaker because he's "newer" than Sigurd.

Other way around. Siegfried, Kriemhild, Brünhilde and Altera, are people who historically existed. Sigurd, Gudrun, Brynhildr and her brother Atli, are all mythical creations. But since modern belief helps to retroactively shape the past in Nasuverse cosmology, it's all blurry to the point you might as well say they all existed in some sense.

Basically, it doesn't actually matter much.

Will it just be bare bones explanation for some Servants? Will we get more in-depth of their story? Will F/GO Originals have more pages dedicated to them?

This feels a bit different compared to other materials due to the amount of Servants, I hope it's a bit like those F/A explanations that went more in-depth with each Servants life

Also I hope we get an explanation for what Marie's attacks (and some of the other "energy blast" Servants) actually look like.

Yeah but there are problems with the whole "as strong as Excalibur". First is that Gram is only the origin of Caliburn, which is weaker than Excalibur, and Merodach, as far as I remember, is considered weaker than Excalibur. So if Excalibur > Merodach > Gram > Caliburn, Gram can't be equal to Excalibur. Being the "Sword of the Sun" also puts a deathflag on it, it may only be as strong as Galatine.

So, what NPs Alcides/Heracles may have? Here're my thoughts, some additional insight would be great.

1. Pelt of the Divine Beast
2. Depends on whether or not Nine Lives counts as a NP granted for that labor. If not, Hydra's poison (with bonus anti-centaur damage).
3. He basically chased that Kerinean fallow-deer across half the country so probably something like Crossing Arcadia. Maybe with additional gimmick since it's a NP not a skill.
4. Something about killing 2 guys with one arrow?
5. Athena's krotala. Most likely something similar to Fran's Scream of Teror or Astolfo's La Black Luna.
6. Something something Olympic Games. Not even going to try and guess, it can be literally anything Narita wants it to be.
7. This is like the least interesting labor. In fact, Heracles beating Asterios' dad is so bad I can't even think of what kind of NP it may grant.
8. Most likely another way to cheat death on top of Battle Continuation. He wrestled Thanatos and won, saving an innocent soul in the process.
9. Goddess of War
10. It's probably something about reaching the destination and overcoming all obstacles.
11. Since apples themselves aren't very important or strong, this NP most likely buffs strength and endurance.
12. Pet Cerberus.

As good as EA is, its firepower is only slightly above Excalibur. This is the biggest problem with having a sword become stronger than Excalibur, it would mean it would be as strong as EA and stronger than the Last Phantasm created by the planet.

Right now, the strongest swords that aren't those 2 are Arondight and Merodach, and both are weaker than Excalibur. And if you consider that Gilgamesh uses Merodach to gauge if someone is worthy of EA, well, we probably won't be seeing any other sword being stronger than that.

I need a Saber. This means Lancelot, Gawain, Siegfried, or Rama are the most viable choices. Lancelot is the most mechanically sound, but I can't stand the design they gave to his Saber version, particularly for the artwork. Gawain, on the other hand, is the closest we're probably going to get to Proto-Arthur, but he's an AoE. Siegfried is Siegfried. Rama is also Single-Target, but I'm not a fan of his design either.

Even if you survive the direct blast, you're still caught in the middle of Enuma Elish. EA doesn't just release a blast like Excalibur.
