I don't know if it tops Forgotten Capital or Heavenly Keep for me but I actually adore the 5th stratum theme. It sounds equal parts driving and somber/melancholy, reminds me a lot of Porcelain Forest in that respect

Is it the first EO game you've played?

For me, Etrian games are so much fun because of the different classes and builds you can have through-out your party and the way you have to use everything at one point or another because just attacking and healing every so often like in other rpg's will not work in EO. So I always like to play the classic gameplay first and then story afterwards.

I also didn't really find the EOU1 story all that great.

Untold 1, play story mode first because is the only way to play Gladsheim (the new dungeon), to play as Highlander and Ricky to get chests, items and grimoires that are only locked to story mode.

So it's better to play story mode and the transfer everything to classic than playing classic first and transfer everything to story (because you can't use classic character in story, but you can use story characters in classic)

Highlanders are one of the must fun to use classes in the series, especially in the first Untold (they nerfed them slightly for the second). Gunners are great damage dealers and have high luck so you can use their binds as well if you want to. They're worth in my opinion.

No matter how many hits you get during Rush Out if you try to use Rush Out again it only counts as 1 "Hit".

However, each follow up attack from One Two punch counts as its own hit, just like for Sanzu.

It even has a nice little tooltip on the side of the skill select screen in battle that shows how many "charges" you have for any given Rush Out.

It seems that hitting multiple times is not enough, it either has to be a separate instance, like One Two where each "hit" is actually a separate Skill activation or a normal attack.

Know a quick way to get 4 guaranteed chases per turn with any party setup? Shamans. There you go. Not to mention how quite a few classes have skills that deal elemental damage, Warlocks exist, and bows do stab damage.

Good news and bad news. Mostly bad, a little good.

Even if you get 4 hits off a normal attack with a 4 Sword Masurao, it still only counts as 1 attack for Sanzu.

However, if you have both a chain Fencer and a Sanzu going at the same time, the Sanzu will chase the ally's attack first, and then the Fencer will chase the same ally's attack, AND THEN that chase from the Fencer will proc another chase from Sanzu; effectively, you get 2 for the price of one.

Now I'm not sure, I'll test this in a sec, but if the Shaman's elemental imbuements also effect skills, then a Cestus, Shaman, Masurao, Fencer, +1 team could potentially be pretty strong.

I also need to test Sanzu with Chain All and multiple targets.

Party hit attacks will attack everyone regardless of skills unless you have a way to "cover" another party member.

They had Chain Dance for drawing attacks to them, and Scapegoat that allows you to use any party member as a meatshield(though you can target yourself with it as well).
