People said before that critical in particular is kind of worthless on pierce gunning, and weakness exploit isn't that great IMO for pierce because you only hit like 1-2 shots in the actual weak hitzones for a lot of monsters.

if you are talking endgame then Rajang has an amazing horn. Just be aware that you won't have access to it's final upgrade for a long time since it requires Hyper Rajang parts

is Focus good for Aerial Hammer?

I've been trying out adept greatsword and honestly it ain't bad now that I've played with it. Just play as you normally would but now you have built in evasion when you get into a situation where you need it and that swing after the run is a tiny bit stronger than a basic uncharged draw attack. You won't usually have time for the charge attack after but that's fine. For someone who plays solo 99% of the time like me it's pretty good. Losing the strong charge and round slash after really isn't so bad for the incredible survivability boost you get in exchange. And you still have them, you just can't use them until after an evade.

That doesn't make sense. Wii U has roughly 3 plus million userbase in Japan. PS4 has roughly 3 million as well but a bit lower than Wii U being a newer released console. A new very popular console or handheld at most can only sell 400k-ish, but NX has not started pre-orders even. Capcom cannot base their sales without any data, back in April when they started compiling the financial report. Usually you estimate sales by past performance and pre-order data.

To get 2 million on Wii U alone or PS4 alone is impossible. That's why Vita or Vita/PS4 is the most logical option, assuming 3DS is out because the number is low. Of course userbase can grow following an announcement, sales estimate must be based on actual data, not some magic prediction.

And then there's a matter of type of audience. MHF-G on Wii U has the lowest server population, and MH3G HD sold about 150k I think. A late port wouldn't sell more than the original release, and Capcom always need the holiday crowd to get the sales for MH. And the spring season period is the season for Sony and their plethora of 3rd party releases.

Does anyone know how the unlock the Centenarion Blade/Susano Blade? I have all the parts to make it but its not showing up, and i cant find anything about it online

I've heard conflicting answers on this. So now when a monster is mounted and your attacks are causing blue hit sparks are you still damaging the monster's health or is health damage suspended during that time and you're only helping to build the mount gauge? When using HBG this would be good to know once and for all. If you do damage health then it's just more free damage. If you don't then it's wasting ammo which is wasting damage and resources.

Yeah, I know. I just wish they made Blunt points worth like 2 for 1 slot. It already is balanced by the fact that anything with higher sharpness essentially can't use it. But its still so easy to get Sharpness +1 and +2 is hardly necessary despite being harder to get.

Also four skills being the average is kind of cancerous too. Miss getting at least 5 in 4U. Adds much needed flexibility. Hopefully next game, Bludgeoner returns with a buff and Yellow weapons get more raw or lose LSM.

That's my thinking. Because for being attack up XL or M depeding on sharpness its actually decent and can stack with pretty much any damage buff. But I popped out the old calculator and jesus. Even with all the damage buffs and a Bludgeoner effected weapon that has ALL skills to raise damage the damage is too low.

A weapon with Sharpness +2 can still get equal or more damage and have TWO free skills that don't have to be damage for more flexibility during a fight. Like what the fuck?

Well, the calculator isn't always the best indicator of damage across a fight, but seeing as how yellow and green weapons have a greater propensity to bounce and yellow has LSM then yeah, definitely needs something more.

Although like >>150596948 said G rank should fix at least some of it. Also G rank raw weapons tend to have a greater difference in raw than the high rank counterparts. I believe Akantor weapons often hit around 340 or higher in 4U. But then again, it didn't matter much since almost any weapon could become grossly overpowered because of honing and 7 skills. So I guess that's what made it work.

In the first place I just shoot Pierce lvl1 at the tentacles then when they both break I focus the weakspot. In the second phase the strategy is to break one tentacle then just go full dakka on the face. Works fine for me.

assuming they continue the trend of verticality being added into monster hunter slowly, why not make it so the distance you do a jump attack from increases the damage? It's so satisfying to jump from a super high ledge to bean a monster in the face, but it's kind of disappointing to know that it's basically the same shit if you just vaulted off of it with aerial.

Seltas Queen feels a lot harder to fight in Gen than in 4U. I remember being able to kinda just nuke or slice and dice her legs while occasionally rolling to the side or at her. Now she's all sorts of pissed off. Even Zamtrios feels slightly tuned. Makes sense that high rank exclusive monsters would be tough but I wasn't expecting Seltas Queen to be the hip checking, dead angling, stam drain spamming mech bitch that she is now.
