Right now I go in rows

Three rows for GS, then three rows for LS, then three for SnS etc. Sorted by rarity

On page 6 I start with armor sets, always head-torso-gloves-pants-boots , sorted by rarity too

From page 11 on I have charms, sorted by rarity

I expect I might I have to expand the weapon rows to 4 for each at some point

Is there a way to view hunters' equipment before entering a room? Would save me a whole bunch of time if I could

The enjoyment of monster hunter increases as you get better, then decreases as you slowly realize how bad some of the mechanics are.

- Everyone jokes about Rathian's and Yian's charges, but the jokes are well-founded. They literally deal damage 1 frame before the animation begins.
- Tigrex's head becomes a hit box 1 frame before he starts to spin (why)?
- Tailwhips dealing damage when they clearly haven't hit you. I have over 200 cat hunts (yeah I'm that autistic), and can assure you I've been hit with tons of tail whips that don't even touch my cat.
- All gen 1 monsters are garbage.
- Monsters without reasonable stamina are garbage.
- Gunner weapons still take a massive amount of skill just to get a comparable hunt time to a DB user spamming at the legs.

I mostly panicked and avoided Glavenus because "whoops we dropped you in one of the deepest caves lol", I was too busy gathering eggs to fight Astalos, and Gammoth actually intimidated me a little but with its sheer size.

The main problem with Jho in Gens is his fucking HP. It has the base HP matching enraged monsters and elder dragons. With that unwieldy moveset it has, you are bound to be bitten eventually and get def downed to death. It's just bullshit. I had an easier time doing Naked and Afraid than downing this one Jho from Out of the Fry Pan.

As for "the core of my hunting style", I like to fulfill my role in a party (tripping with fast weapons, head with blunt weapons, breaking hard parts with GL, etc), but I noticed recently that I'm the one guy who tries to aggressively stick to the monster no matter what and that gets me dead sometimes.

Trueshot CANNOT be on a talisman since it only is available on low rank talismans with zero slots (AKA garbage). That depends. Do you want to go maximum autism and get the aforementioned time attack build, or would you be fine with a decent (but not as good) build?

It's VERY easy to do Element Atk Up, Trueshot, and Rapid Fire. Pic related for example can get all those skills (and Load Up if you want it too) with just a Element +4 OOO charm.

If you're set on getting the time attack build, you're going to need 4 perfect charms (not near perfect, absolutely perfect). You'll need a +13 OOO charm for every element, along with a very specific (and very fucking ugly) clownsuit.

The only two bullshitty things about Teostra are the insta-charge and the 100 seconds supernova, the former because it comes from nowhere and deals unreasonably large damage and the latter because if you don't know about the timer it's a boring dance of hitting and running until he explodes to avoid being exploded yourself.

But apart from that all his moves are fair and reasonably telegraphed and I feel he is the comfiest of the elder dragon trio to fight. I feel he is also much more fair with the powders telegraphing his explosions.

I struggled a bit when learning to fight him, but now that I know how, it's like a zen fight to me.

He would be top tier if he had Lunastra's tell before the charge and if he had some kind of tell before the supernova, like some blastpowder accumulating around him 5 seconds before he explodes or something.

Nobody carts to that anymore because there's always somebody with a timer going ding ding ding when he's about to explode, so it's easy to forget, but I've seen many triple carts from Teo's nova back in early 4U days, so it's not just a personal issue.

Lion's Maw is like a draw attack in damage and sheathes at the end with a damage boost on your next hit, even a kick. If you still have your sword out it can be handy before mobilizing.

Absolute whatever is a thing for GS to abuse be it closing distance or stupidly safe escapes with benefits at the end either way. Readiness isn't as necessary if you have fuckhuge sharpness though.

In high rank I use a Volvidon S + High Metal U + OO- charm clownsuit available in HR5 for Focus/CritDraw. It's not pretty but it's not the most offensive one either since it's just the metal waist and arms on Volvidon shit and that nigger is easy.

It's true. Hit too early or too late on your swing and you get at least a 30% debuff on your attack power. The buff you get from Bludgeoner isn't enough to offset this.

It's meant to be used with the endgame iron/drome weapons, that have a fucklong green sharpness bar and unreasonably large raw. You can try using it with Akantor and Amatsu weapons, but the former needs razor sharp or sharpness+ to be really useful (long yellow and slim green) and the latter needs you to spend the short blue before you get into blunttown.

Pretty much. All shot types are easier to get to red by fullbursting (as much as that seems unintuitive since Normal shots benefit more from full bursts).
