Whats a good starter armor set for bowgunning at hr6? Either hbg or lbg, and it doesn't have to be some perfect endgame set.

I really want to get into gunning this time around, but I've put it off. I made the naja hbg in lowrank, did about 10-15 hunts then went back to melee. Both lbg and hbg I find fun, rapidfire a bit more. I don't relish the thought of making specific elemental guns, at least when I'm not even knowledgeable about them.

You will kill more of them more quickly because you just need some fire weapon and button mash them to death, while you actually have to sort of fight the Gypceros AND it can prolong the hunt by being an asshole.

No mounting, swimming, ledges, apex, weapon styles are retarded bullshit that's the product of gen 4 and beyond. Movesets largely adapted from gen 3, good aspects from gen 4 like continuous gathering. Great farm, least tedious early game. Unbelievable graphics. Actual good controls. 60 frames per second. FAR more effort in diversifying movesets of similar monsters, ESPECIALLY subspecies.

Solid, core gameplay that's reminiscent of the good times of Monster Hunter mainline before the bullshit, and with the good stuff from the later gens mixed in. The only reason you shouldn't play it right now is that gen 3 and 4 monsters haven't been added yet, but they're adding lots of monsters every month and when the new season hits they'll come.

Should the translation patch be fixed, and when the later gen monsters have been added, it will be far and away the best Monster Hunter to date, and a Chinese MMO no fucking less, but I'm sure this garbage general will probably still continue playing gutter trash like Generations.
