Different anon here, but it's actually really good. It still works by applying pressure in the direction you want to move like the nub, it's not a psp slide pad or anything. It just takes much less force to move and it feels better on the thumb.

Usually if there's nothing on the description or if there's "Host picks Quests" the guys just wants to level his quests, and common sense would imply that they will put the level of the Deviant on the room title.

In /mhg/ we usually specify which level we're doing or if we're cycling between room members. If you're having problem with any in particular, host a room here, I've been having no problem leveling my Deviants around here.

Hammer doesn't have any dedicated skills you should look towards, just stack attack. Maybe HG Earplugs if you're not running Adept and want to exploit the head in that opening.

CB you can arguably gear towards Guard+1, artillery novice and attack skills, but I don't really know if there's as much benefit in artillery as there was in 4U.

I've only ever used the HH since P3rd. I want to pick up something different, and I'm looking at the sword and shield since it looks like it relies more on items which I usually ignore (bombs and traps in regular fights etc). It sounds fun, but do I have to rely on having a bunch of elemental SnS or can I just make a raw one and go to town? I know SnS is meant to be one of the better elemental weapon types but IDK if it's required to get a decent kill time.

Just jump into a randoms room that's doing key quests. Make sure they have HR armor and weapons and you're dandy. Just be nice and not suck, and there's a great probability they'll even redo some quests you need so everyone gets their urgent done.
