I mostly agree, but I've been playing around with the idea of his turret being able to penetrate barricaded walls, castlecades, etc. Same way Glaz can on castlecades, where it can't break big holes but can make small bullet holes.

On one hand, it means he can't just get stuck in an armored box, on the other, it makes him oppressive like Glaz on Plane, but on far more maps. Then again, if he can't shoot through shields (and I maintain that making him able to is a terrible idea; shields aren't good already) maybe Montagne could do something for his team.

Keep the gun the same, but he can unmount it hipfire it at a reduced speed and can't move when he aims it. Mobility is his killer, the gun is fine. Having it wreck shields just nerfs shields and they are already shit.

I'm not sure you understand how much of a game-changer the ACOG is. Most shooters I don't like taking optics because I like iron sights. That just gets you killed in Siege because range advantage is actually a mechanic built in to give attackers an advantage. Choosing to not take ACOG, or worse, having a gun that can't take it, is akin to crippling yourself.
