Try Abyss. Then Slime. Then Pan. Then Hell/Tomb depending.

If you haven't done it, start with abyss -> slime. You'll know by the end of those if you want to continue, but you seem like you're setup to do extended. (that dex though, did you invest str?) Good ways to avoid mutation are stuff that mess with LoS like fog, digging, sputterflies and just summoning in general. You also want strong ranged attacks to kill malmutators, so that you don't waste turns (and risk more muts) walking at them. You want the spend the least amount of time in range of a malmutator, so anything that'll get them closer or dead without YOU being at risk is ideal. The absolute best would be some kind of crossbow with Pprojectile, but you went with shields. You'll probably have a little bit of a harder time because of your int, since conjurations are out of the window too. You could probably just disk of storms to get rid of nexokeks, but you'd have to invest evo.

You'll easily want another source of rF, maybe from a different body armour. The regen is a really nice bonus though. Something lighter would serve very well too, since you invested super heavily into earth. It'd make your iron shots easier to cast. That low EV is going to really hurt, but you should be able to tab down most anything. Invest fighting to 27, shields to 25 for a large targe (take any shield with a good resist on it though), invo to 27 for maximum TSO holy hand grenade and more dodging. Dodging won't be very effective, but every bit helps when you're sub20. Go to the abyss.

First win with Pakellas, was more fun for something different, I don't usually invest heavily in rods. Barely used magic, and even in extended I mostly just hit things with a whip. Got really screwed on enchant weapon and armour scrolls but found some decent equipment otherwise.

Has anyone tried an innocence veil build in Demon? Innocence is a very strong defensive passive by itself, and putting non-damaging veils on top of that means that any full HP enemies will have a hell of a time getting at you.

I got it to load by removing the basement floors from the hell_castle definition in pk_overmap.json, for anyone else trying it. No idea if it will explode when it tries to generate one though.

So far I haven't seen anything new from the mod, and multipool points really nerfs the lab escape challenge. It's simple to start with enough skills to easily escape and there's no real reason not to since what else are you going to do with your extra skill points.

Oh yeah, that is pretty bad. Its probably worth it, but you could always just suck it up and use a staff instead. The laj is obviously insane, but you'd gain more from a good shield imo. You're going to be glowing stuff up and most of your melee should be done while tornadoing or against popcorn to conserve mana. Melee is a worthy investment, even if it is costly. I used to get lajatangs on spriggans all the time before I realized LB/SB/M&F were just easier. I think the best thing about that trident is the +4 strength, since that'll easily get you some EV/spell % in the ringmail. It'd be a damn shame to have to swap it out.

How do you get a fire to spread across a rock floor? I have a trail of underwear with magnesium powder on it, but only the lit tile burns.

Maybe finding some cigarettes and throwing a lit one onto my ammo pile by the door would work?
