I seem to recall there being a plot point about some servant who had the oldest, most powerful variants of every Noble Phantasm, most of them Rank A or higher, just sitting in his treasury. It was probably dropped though. That would just be ridiculously, having thousands of A++ ranked Noble Phantasms sitting around. You'd have to shoot them as bullets at that rate. Such a servant would be completely overpowered, though.

You're confused. Most of those weapons are very high-ranking Noble Phantasms, and all are the strongest variants. The only things he doesn't have are Noble Phantasms that are feats and accomplishments or that were never used, if I recall. Mysteries such as Avalon are also exempt. So no God Hand or Knight of Honor.

The thing with Gilgamesh is that he's only a couple of levels above retarded when it comes to combat. He never mastered any Noble Phantasm he has. Even EA is only special in that only he possesses it. That's why he loses against UBW, which allows Shirou/EMIYA to replicate his weapons ''and'' understand them. Gilgamesh, on the other hand, just fires them.

Lancelot can stall Gilgamesh, but even in Berserker form, he can't really do much against him besides make life a bit uncomfortable for a while.

Gate of Babylon is a Noble Phantasm that acts as a vault storing thousands of Noble Phantasms. It would be more useful if used as Iskandar proposed, to equip an army of soldiers. Gilgamesh would never allow that though.

That's fucking grasping at straws to count swordbeam as a 4th separate NP. Overload is literally your Swordbeam NP but concentrated in a slash instead of released.

Heck Overload is only considered a different NP from Arondight because Lancelot exists as both Saber and Berserker and wouldn't be able to perform it in Berserker form.

By this logic if Arturia had a Berserker variant Excalibur and Excaliblast would be 2 different NPs as well. This is a battle of preference.

KoH allows you to use anything and Lancelot skill makes it so he may even use them better than the original owners (Overload on another sword would be an example). The drawback is that he starts with nothing and needs to steal the weapons from his opponents. However this also gives room to use weapons that GoB may not have.

GoB lets Gilgamesh have almost all the NPs, but his attitude holds back that ability, and his skill is with them is trash when compared to other heroes.

UBW is a faster GoB with treasures much less powerful, unable to replicate the strongest weapons (Divine Constructs) but it allows to use some of the ability of the original owner, but not as good as them.

Which do you choose? If it was up to me, I would go the Lancelot way.

Gilgamesh is superhumanly talented and is probably comparable to a master swordsman even when using treasures he rarely ever touches, but the issue is that most other Servants are also superhumanly talented and just being a master warrior doesn't mean much when the high bar set is having literally surpassed the limits of human skill and being comparable to gods of war like Karna. The fact that he is capable of matching someone like Arturia, even if only for a little while, is not so strange given how strong his Clairvoyance is, how high his intelligence is, and how good his stats are, but any protracted close combat battle with someone like Arturia simply cannot go in his favor unless he uses the weapons he is actually a Servant-tier master of (Ea and Enkidu).

Lancelot never used Arondight for more than 10 seconds to say that's true. He never needed to use it, you may as well say Scathach can't Gate of Skye.

Here is the problem with your conclusions about Arondight and comparing it to Excalibur.

The base Arondight is liste as A++ Anti Unit.

Arondight Overload is a separate NP, close to a sword skill, that allows Lancelot to refrain from using the swordbeam. It is listed as a different NP from the beam itself.

The beam is another NP because it's not the NP pseudo sword skill called Arondight Overload, neither it is the Anti Unit sword called Arondight.

Excalibur however only has Excalibur listed as NP, anti Fortress, none of the others applications are listed as separate NPs.

Look at Gae Bolg now. The Spear is one, however it has 3 different NPs, all in one, reverse causality, thrown and carnage.

Nasu even makes it clear that they are different NPs, even if they come from the same spear, calling "thrown" and average NP, and treating reverse causality as a different one. This is the same case for Lancelot.

Gilgamesh never opened up Gate of Babylon more than a fraction against Lancelot. in Zero Lancelot defended against a salvo of 16, Gilgamesh was about to let loose 32 which was implied to be unblockable by even Lancelot.

Against Herc in UBW Gil was opening the Gate up to 50~70 weapons at a time. Zerker Herc is at least equal to Zerker Lancelot in sword play (he matched Arturia effortlessly despite not knowing the length of her weapon) and was able to deflect quite a few NPs before gradually getting overwhelmed.

Against Alcides Gil had GoB opened up to fire hundreds of shots at a time.

Ozymandias is amused with the fight and says that it helped him put his neck back in shape, though he confirms to Nitcoris that you are his enemies, since he knows you’re after the Grail. She apologizes for having invited his enemies into the temple, but he says it’s his fault since he never told her anything about the Singularity and so on, so she had no way of knowing.

He then says that he expected you to die around the Fourth Singularity, but that you are already too late and that everything is over now. The Grail appeared, two bands scrambled across the Holy Land, one defending and one attacking, and in the end one took the Grail and the whole place ended turning into a breeding ground for the Demon Pillars. Had you arrived earlier, you might have been able to prevent it, but it’s too late.

Da Vinci then points out he’s leaving stuff out, and suggests that he was probably summoned on the side of the Crusaders, whom he saw as enemies. He then summoned the land of Egypt into this area, and this is what lead to the whole thing going tits up.

It's completely situational. Gate of Babylon is the perfect anti-Hero weapon as it relies on overwhelming power. It cannot be countered by any other Servant save a few very specific cases under very specific circumstances, particularly once Gilgamesh begins to take things seriously.

Unlimited Blade Works counters it perfectly because it analyzes the Noble Phantasms being fired and allows the user to immediately call upon the perfect counter to each one. Gil may fire out an A+ Noble Phantasm, but all EMIYA needs is a B that happens to specialize in destroying that type of weapon. The issue comes down to the fact that he's a fucking shitty Heroic Spirit in most regards, which is why someone like Cu can wreck his shit in.

Knight of Honor is a nice ability, but compared to either, it doesn't really do much. Lancelot is better off with just Arondight in every scenario.

Mashu thanks her for the advice, and Nitocris then begins talking with her alone. She tells Mashu that she can tell she lacks resolution just like her and is afraid of combat.

She then cheers her up by telling her that while she herself turns cowardly in front of Ozymandias, Mashu’s different, since she swallows up the fear and puts on a strong face, and that she is supported by her Master.

Caster and his Master remains a riddle as they have not yet appeared. But considering the class of Caster, there was nothing surprising. Other than Berserker, all the other Servants have already exposed their true names. In addition, the large threats Saber and Berserker also lost their respective battles. Especially Saber, whose wound will affect latter matches greatly. Gilgamesh displayed his Noble Phantasms with great fanfare and placed himself at a disadvantage, yet he did not expose his true name. Also, no one noticed the fact that Assassin was still alive. Thus, judging from the current situation, Tokiomi was still at a great advantage.

Kirei calmly calculated as he organized, but there was not one shred of excitement within his heart.

Iskandar was empowered by command seals from Waver.
