I find it strange and it always annoyed me that the ele fire staff has such a long firing range. longer then a mesmer gs. But i know this is a game and things like that are not determanitive. But still i think the range is to long compared to its counterparts and should be lowered and get something like higher speed for it instead so and you can press burning retreat after firing in stead of outranging everyone. What do you guys think about this? Please react whit arguments and whit respect for other opinions.

what is the easiest way to get one (1) more central tyria mastery point? i'm this close to pact commander

i can't list all the ones that i have but assume i have everything from Tequatl, Triple Trouble, and other stuff i can leech.

here are some i've considered doing, but have not done yet:

- dive master
- that stupid lion's arch extermination thing
- story mode for 8 dungeons but this seems like a royal pain
- i have done NOTHING hero-point-wise related to Fractals at all, ever, and they seem like really boring shit from the small handful of Fractals i've completed. i fucking hate grindy PvE
- spoon collecting. all i need is the Fractal spoon and the WvW spoon but haven't had luck with either (yet)
- i haven't done much level 80 zone or Story stuff yet either, for a similar reason to why i haven't done much with Fractals

When you spend 66% of your time running at normal speed without even so much as a 25% boost.. that 25% boost is a godsend and you can really tell the difference between swiftness and 25% is MUCH less than the difference between no speed boost and 25%.

now I've started looking around cause I haven't actually looked into how each class can maintain swiftness with 100% uptime it seems like they've made it easier with multiple classes, usually with 1-2 traits and a single swiftness skill. Guardian can now maintain it (if wielding a staff and specced in honor) with Retreat alone, Ele can maintain it with Glyph of Elemental Harmony and Inscription alone. Necromancer can ALMOST maintain it with warhorn and banshee's wail alone, you are off by like 2.5s.

Meanwhile Mesmer still has shitty swiftness and can only maintain it with stacking alacrity before using temporal curtain, and you need to slot signet of inspiration to provide you with enough buffer to make it, and you have to run back and forth through your temporal curtain to build up enough to last, and every time you recast you have to run back and forth through it (eating up time)
