It has neutral. If it didn't have neutral, and the combos are now much easier, then what is there that separates the best players from the rest?

The neutral is actually more complicated than past SF titles. However, I don't think that's a superior neutral than past SF titles. In past SF titles you had that really great normal you would use in most situation to start your combo because it had the best range and was a great starter. In SFV, everything is shortened, and there is way more normals being used.

Just pay attention to a SFV ryu mirror. You don't see Daigo doing cr.mk as much as he used to. He was extremely good at getting that max distance hit and also whiff punishing. Now, there is a little more guessing going on up close. It all has to do with commitment and getting the read on the other player.

In order to be in range for anything you have to be up close where a ryu can fireball which can get beat by mk, or solar plexus strike. That's also the range where you can get shimmied, which can be beat by cr.mk.

I personally don't like it. Is this what 3d fags have to deal with up close with all the sidestepping, high, low, mid mixups and shit?

Everything new they added (art, music and even colors) was really bad. Also the PS3 version had lots of problems that made it the least played version.

look for little victories in your training

SFV's animations are overall much better looking that SFIV's animations, but despite that it still shares some of the big issues that game had with the animations. They look so stiff and lacking of energy. Even when you hit the opponent with a Crush Counter, it doesn't feel strong because of the hitting animation itself but rather for the sparkling effects literally overblowing the opponent's model. I guess that's what happens when you have to keep the budget to a limit or you outsource it to fucking Dimps.

pressing buttons

or if you press buttons not the medium/fierces so often. gotta pick up on all those counter hits/crush counters. if youre going to press buttons at least do lights to see if something is actually punishable then you can move on to see how punishable it is going from medium to fierce

all i was trying to do was not drop combos and properly confirm into them because juri has some 'complicated' stuff going for her. next im going to go about cc set ups and confirms which conveniently works well with all the combo pratice. you cant expect to get everything right fast but its a lot easier to set goals to make better use of your time

My friend told me if I'm going to get a CC, have a combo lined up. Playing Boxer, I tend to miss my follow up combo after CC st roundhouse. Every other character I'm fine with CC follows up, but I'm a fucking idiot with Boxer's. I would always dash up throw afterwards, and he would just jump or tech.
