There's been a rebound in popularity after people got tired of DaS3. Considering selling my copy, I've been running chalices and playing witcher 3 DLC since my second clear of the game. You get constant invasions in mensis and chalices are pretty active for co-op as well as Ludwig and a few base game areas are thriving as well. when he's spelling i used the pillars for cover and rolled behind him when i could, and used (axe) r2 charge if he every paced towards me in anticipation of him lunging for me and thus knocking him down and dealing damage

once he hits the ground and starts trying to melee more i used the latter a lot (charge attack in anticipation) and of course parrying

Clarification, it's Cleric Beast > Gascoigne > Amelia > Witches. You need to kill either Cleric Beast or Bloodstarved Beast in order to get into Cathedral Ward, and Cleric Beast is much faster than running through Old Yharnam.

Why is the netcode in this game such god damn garbage? My internet is fine too, but whenever I try to pvp my opponent seems to be able to hit me when I'm no where near him but when I'm in their face, my attacks just go right through them. It's infuriating because I really want to like the pvp in this game but the netcode keeps fucking me over.

Either way, generally speaking faster weapons are better against Keeper, his attacks are fast but he doesn't get poise so you want to throw as many attacks at him as possible. Parrying helps too, even if you don't have very high skill.

I'm not sure about the Kirk, one-handed might be fast enough to stun lock him. Alternatively you can use Beast Claws if you don't wanna waste the pellets, they're fast and can stunlock. The visceral thing happens sometimes, I try to not get him backed to a wall whenever I parry. But for stunlocking him you want him to be against a wall/corner.

Beast Claw without the rune is probably a good choice, beasthood is invaluable on a build that doesn't otherwise have very good damage.

So it all depends on whether you want to go full RIP AND TEAR or if you value having access to your gun.

I'd say Beast Claws for the free beasthood effect, you won't have to pop pellets as much. It'll do less damage than a Saw Twin though, but it evens out with the Beasthood in the end.

Different anon, but there are a couple strats to deal with Hotdog. One is to get around him and break his legs, the other is to focus your damage on his head and break that. When broken, his legs take 1.5 times damage or so, while his head takes something like three times as much damage when broken, but only like half as much or a third normal damage when the armor is up.

If you need more specific instructions for how to deal with him, go ahead and ask, I'd be happy to give you the info.

I'm here, for Watchdog your gonna want a long weapon. Usually the trick mode is longer for most weapons like the Axe and Saw Twins. Get in front of the dog and make him swipe/bite, back a bit so you don't get hit. As soon as he starts raising his head get a hit and repeat. He'll eventually get his armor broken and every hit after his head breaks would do a lot more damage.
