I was thinking of 13 SKL to use the cannon but I think I'm already covered with the pistol and rosmarinus. Besides, it takes up a lot of bulles that are precious for an arcane build.

I'm not sure whether to limit strength to 16 as I doubt I'll be using the wheel too much and I'm not sure if to put a bit more to endurance. Also what runes to use

AFAIK the arcane damage on the Burial Blade will always be tiny and insignificant compared to the physical portion. So you probably want radial radial triangle or radial radial waning. If you don't have a decent +%physical waning or triangle gem, just use the +18% droplet (from the Winter Lantern bridge in Mensis).

I have 2/3(4?) thirds of the umbilical cord. At the end of the game like this, which of the remaining might I still potentially be able to get? What do I do? I'm pretty sure I got the one in the Old Abandoned Workshop.

I understand that eating three of these give you one of 2 alternate endings, but how do you get the other?

Assuming you've fucked up the Church NPC-gathering quest, you should be able to get one from Mergo's Wet Nurse, just one that they give to you as a story boss, and one from the False Doctor, back entrance is in the giant cave from Forbidden Woods.

Ending 3: Fight, have eaten 3 third cords.

Do the DLC before, it scales with NG+ and you do not want to do that.

I just assume Church attire looked more like Byrgenwerth outfits, or was different from church to church, before Yharnam got built up like it did. Then as the religious front took with the people, the Executioners popped up and dealt with the Vileblood problem, probably stuck around as Church Hunters. Those outfits became familiar to the people, they were later adopted in various forms.

As for Alfred, eh, I think he's a well-intentioned guy with notions in his head. He talks about being a student of Logarius, there's no evidence to prove that. Logarius is a mummy in Cainhurst and a statue in Yharnam. Alfred picked up his books and went full on I'M ANGRY. ANGRY ABOUT ELVES. because he's a zealous young man. Where did he get his outfit? We get little insight into the day to day inner workings of the Church, what very kind of official wears, etc. I don't think its far fetched Executioner costumes are available.

This is bait. With a STR/ARC build, this will outdamage almost every other weapon option, aside from the Tonitrus, HMS R2 with the beam + weapon hitting, and maybe Boomhammer charged R2.

The tricked dodge R2 is BoM-tier good with its speed and damage, and the other moves aren't super slow either.

It has tons of hyper armor on almost every attack or on every attack, so that's an entirely baseless claim. Same with the "absurdly" high stamina cost, which is pretty average. Tricked HMS has a far higher stamina cost than the tricked Wheel. The wheel also stuns pretty much everything in one hit.

Gems should have been the best/most interesting weapon upgrading mechanic in the series, but they were not implemented very well, mainly due to From thinking "Chalice dungeons are the coolest thing ever so we have to make sure everyone does them dozens of times".

DS3 anon, managed to beat the Cleric Beast on the second attempt with the Ax. If Strength weapons are all as awesome as this, I'm going to love Bloodborne. The combat is fluid and it doesn't seem unfair at all. How does invading work in this game? Will I get invaded just going through levels?

Strength probably has the biggest arsenal especially now that even Skill weapons can be somewhat converted to strength weapons with Heavy Abyssal gems. You can get invaded if a bell maiden is spawned in an area where the boss isn't kill. Nightmare Frontier and Mensis has bell maidens that spawn on start. You can spawn them by ringing your Sinister or Beckoning bell, they'll still be there even after silencing the bell if you haven't killed them.

Winter Lanterns in Mensis and Fishing Hamlet drop decent gems, but you can get equally strong ones in a Depth 3 Chalice (i.e doable before Amelia), Fishing Hamlet gems are slightly better than Mensis but still pale in comparison to what you can get in Depth 5 Chalice's.

To unlock every glyph you need to have every Root chalice in your inventory (basically beat every single boss in all dungeons) and have made at least 1 Depth 5 Root Chalice with all 3 Additional Rites, Isz is the easiest to make since it uses least materials then all you need is Loran and Pthumuru Depth 5 Roof Chalice's in your inventory to acsess those type of glyphs.

Just press circle. The can do a second projectile right after the first, similarly to the zombies in Pthumeru that throw Molotovs. Dodge the first projectile, wait to see if they throw another. If they do, dodge it. If they don't, hit them. When they go into an attack frenzy hit L2 for free parries. Same with the grab attack. Literally the only thing you have to worry about with these enemies is the quick startup grab and the hyper armour ground spell.

I faced that guy at a real low level on my first playthrough (was stupid and thought that's where you go after old Yharnam) and I came up with a strategy. It might take a try or two to get the hang of it but here's what you do
