I remember when newdrazi were released and their modern general shat on it for being a meme deck. Then it turns out that Eldrazi was the most dominant deck in Modern, a strong meta contender in Legacy, Vintage viable and a force in standard. One of the things I like is how BEWD makes Crystal Wing. It's a strong monster, but unless they open Soul Charge, it's a very costly play. I like it.

But yes, Ultimaya, Bahamut and Ptol are bullshit. Like, out of all of the BIG NEGS, the only one I think is fair is Void Ogre, since it has specific conditions for the negate unlike everything fucking else.

What will happen to this deck come banlist season? Sometimes they hit a deck's key cards even if it doesn't do well. Monarchs have more variation, tops and deck meshes than any kozmo variant and didn't cost an arm in the beginning.

Reminder that /dng/ should never fucking ever get jobs in R&D because its obvious you fucks don't actually play the game. Dark Destroyer to 1 (their strongest card), Tincan to 1 (the card that makes them even remotely consistent) and Dark Lady to 1 (the card that sets up their retarded omni negate boards which they shouldn't even be able to do in the first place) are all fair hits. You could even justify E-Tele to 1 and the deck would still be more than playable which should be the entire point of these banlists. Not just killing everything because you're a salty bitch

Pendulums are actually pretty slow inherently. The best possible hand you can get is five monsters for two scales, and then three to summon, which is most likely not enough for game anyway and leaves you with 0 cards and no recovering ability if your scales get fucked. The only thing that makes them fast enough to compete is having a shit-ton of searchers for Pendulum archetypes.
