Thanks to the irredeemably good coding by starbound, the amazingly high CPU usage of the server was not because new people were joing, but because the universe on the server was being regenerated for literally no reason, so universes are now brand new again.
I deeply apologize for this and I am now forcing backups of the universe every 30 minutes in a batch of 10 different backups because of this, but generally this means everything but characters and ships are brand new to go as.

So before I push this trainwreck into the open seas of /sbg/'s lusty cuties from far and beyond (again), I'd like to talk about the thread about adding new mods that we already don't have.
Mostly looking for quality of life stuff, nothing too insane.

Currently we have: FrackinUniverse, xbawks, Super SBG Race Mod, Nim_Races and the obvious Assorted Crafting Things Release.

And I do deeply apologize for not backing up things earlier, I'll try to make it up by drawing peoples characters on Friday.

The really destructive one costs 34k pixels and can destroy buildings with its gun. Downside is it gets fucked up by terrain real easy, if it's not flat good luck advancing.

The idea is to potentially triple the amount of dudes in combat which I think is a cool concept. In the end, they are nothing but another weapon for the player to use, and I'd like to see them become more interesting.

Guys, I have an underwater farm base more or less planned out but I've stumbled upon an obstacle - my own autism.
There is a section in the plan that is meant to be a warehouse.
My autism tells me to go crazy with custom elevators, splitting whole damn thing into sectors you can waltz in on an elevator platform with a push of a button.
With size of resulting matrix being like 3x3 at least.
I am slowly going insane just contemplating actually building this sort of thing.

ACT guy here, be careful with the format I used. It's the old one, and doesn't do well with wiring and complex stuff. It's a real pain to use, but my computer can't run Tiled. Not sure why, but it crashes my computer whenever I use it for a minute or so.

Fancy enough, custom ships work best when used without background images. The ships are basically a world-save, from my experience blocks and items are shared, but background images are clientsided. So if you use a custom ship, the collision/bounding boxes etc will work, but they might see a different, non-matching ship background (if at all) so it might look like everyone's walking midair.

Oh, that opens after the floran mission.
Colonists are usually easy to recruit, I put a colony at the starting planet, right where I first landed. All the missions are either in the colony or send me to "ruined house" which is just 2 screens east or "entrance to mine" which are 3-4 screens east. I dug a tunnel to both locations so it takes me about 5 minutes to recruit 2-3 colonists.

Have way too many tailors on my ship.

So since i downloaded the /sbg/ race modpack due to premature excitement of that server, i made a singleplayer character using the Gamayun race since i love cyborgs and quadamputees are qt.
They're kinda cool, but they could need better eyes and i don't really like the odd movement sprites, looks like they're placeholders for some sort of boosters. Would be neat if racial armor were robotic/bionic arm and leg prosthetics.

They're just a small, advanced race of ammonia based lifeforms. They're described as "fluffy space raptors" but biologically they aren't some kind of fusion animal or anything retarded like that.
Compared to the rest of the races, they're pretty overdeveloped and don't fit in very well.
But that's mostly because the race lore in starbound is super barebones.
Also of note is that canonically the Avali are all less than a meter tall and more or less blind, so the mod ironically isnt a good representation of them despite the fact they were made FOR the game.

I like Avali as much as any furfag, but I'd not delve too deep if I were you.

To answer your original question, it adds a brand new race complete with its own furniture/weapon/armor sets like any other, unfortunately like I said before it was given so much attention that it feels out of place.

Terraria worked because you didn't have to do this shit to unlock new areas, all you had to do was explore and progress your character's strength.
You didn't need to accept a quest from the guide to go find the dungeon and then come back to him and talk to him and then go back to fight the boss and then go back and talk to him and finally have access to explore the dungeon.
You just went and killed the boss that was there.

At this point these fuckheads are being willfully ignorant of proper design, even if they were incompetent to begin with it could be slightly forgiven by not having worked on such a large game in the past. They have had enough time to learn from their mistakes and have not.

This shit is unplayable without mods and the modding community itself seems to be losing interest. Like everything in this world that's terrible this piece of shit is being kept around by furfags alone.
