I've done MM hunter and Feral/guardian druid so far.

MM is even easier than before and way less interesting. Feral is still just as good but with no cyclone. Guardian is better than it was with lots of different mitigation at a moments notice but it is extremely boring to play.

Going to Try my DK next and hope they finally fixed the rune system because it was never fun.

So a couple of friends and I are going to start playing again for Legion.

Since we're all in the US now we decided to get a US account instead of playing on our EU accounts.

I'm kind of bummed that I have to lose 6 years of progress that I have on my other accounts but whatever. Actually I just want my mounts.

So I'm getting 1 free lvl 100 if I buy Legion and through recruit a friend I could possibly lvl up 1 character to 100 as well.

For this expan I'm interested in Rogues, Hunters, Priest and Paladins.

For rogue it's Assassination although the rogue artifacts that aren't the rapier all look like shit so that's a bummer.

Survival for hunter, I've always wanted a hunter with no pet. I hate pets.

Paladin are always badass and Priest is what I've played for the last 6 years. I always default back to priest.

I'm also going to be playing horde for the first time ever.

I'd love to hear your opinion and thoughts on the classes and new specs given that you guys have actually played it.

Assassination rogue has two strong burst windows between exsanguinate and king's bane and is the least rng of the 3 specs (they all have a little bit though).

Priest is looking decent with holy and shadow revamps but disc is in the gutter and its only saving grace is one shield buffer (but resto shammy have their +health passive back so good luck competing for that raid slot). One of the problems with shadow is that you will have to play Surrender to Madness because there is no comparable talent in the tier. It's not the best cooldown for progression raiding.

Yeah Spriest is pretty fun. You don't really have a dmg CD unless you spec, uh, Divine Infusion or w/e it is. That said, it's steady damage and Voidform is great.

And the nice thing about DH is that since they start at 98, and you're 100 by the time you finish their starting zone, you'll have a good idea if you like their playstyle within a short period of time.

There isn't. They're not finished tuning, raid schedules are limited, and progression guilds are keeping hush-hush because they don't want their strategies copied or nerfed. It lacks on single target. It has no self sustain outside of metamorphosis. One of the leading talent builds revolves around momentum which is markedly clunky and can easily screw up positioning if you're not careful, and positioning is very important in legion dungeons/raids. The spec is woefully barebones and has very few built-in procs/interactions with itself. Right now the only role Havoc fills is this weird, frail, aoe burster, and there are much better choices at filling that role currently.

It doesn't perform well in pvp either. Havoc is very susceptible to getting trained. It has no inherent root/snare break. All of its mobility is rendered useless and it can't stand up by itself outside of Metamorphosis, which has too long a CD if you miss your kill window. DKs are able to kite Havoc DHs, think about that.
