It's not a matter of understanding or not. For instance, I play the DeSu games with voice Off because they're horrible. If they had at least a JP dub I would see if that was better or at least more fitting of each character.

It's even funnier since the mangas were made to answer things in the plot around the same time as the games release and show Jon and Walt can be Law/Chaos without going to the extreme.
