All EMIYA was able to do against Cu was manage a slow death, as opposed to a quick one. All those false openings just meant Cu would do things like hit him with the blunt end of his spear, kick him, or only very lightly graze him with the speartip, rather than instantly killing him, but EMIYA could only produce so many false openings before he would run out of ideas, or before the light damage he had been accruing would overwhelm him. Even when it came down to NP vs. NP, Rho Aias was defeated, and EMIYA was wounded decisively by it. The only reason Cu didn't finish him off is because he figured out that EMIYA was just stalling for the right time to go kill Caster and that they weren't really enemies for the moment.

Berserker is the one who praised Archer's skill, wishing he could have been sane to be able to fully appreciate it and face it with his own skill.

Cu is a tremendously bad matchup for Archer because of Protection from Arrows. Archer effectively can only fight him in close combat, his weakest point, and Cu is both more skilled and has way better stats than him. Add on top of that the fact that Gae Bolg defeats Rho Aias, and for all intents and purposes we can safely say that Archer is incapable of beating Lancer in a fight.

Archer did hold back against Lancer in the first battle against him, as proven by him only using Byakuya at first, but Lancer was also holding back, and in the second battle Lancer's described as an opponent that Archer can only hold out against because he had experience already fighting him and could use that with Eye of the Mind to figure out ways to prolong the inevitable.

And Emiya was able to keep him from being able to land a decisive blow through skill. that's called "being fucking good" then Lancer literally was confused at how someone as good as he is didn't stick it out with Rin because together they might have been able to outright win the war. Everyone appreciates Emiya's skill. Lancer hated the fact he didn't apply that skill and experience in a more "dignified" way.

All these things combined are what allowed Archer to hold out against Lancer despite the odds. And that's only one of the many reasons Lancer gets pissed off at him. The unknown identity thing is the last thing that Lancer brings up in that fight, so that's definitely the most important thing to him.

She gave Assassin a gradually releasing seal of mana when she originally summoned him, to last for the duration of the war. She was not actively supplying him with mana. That's why Assassin persisted after her death.

The only Servant she had to actually fuel properly was Archer, and his stats are so low that fueling him would never put much strain on a magus of Medea's caliber.

Also, no one we know about really fits the super bad guy mold at the moment. So the main villain is still unknown. Nasu said that arc 5 was the first true taste of FGO as it became true chaos, but he said chapter 6 would go even further with a world-wide threat.

Karna was a Maharathi, which meant that he had to be an absolute master of all weaponry at the time, including spears. He was most famed for using a bow, but he still would have been a master spearman, and is explicitly able to wield Vasavi better than Indra can in Fate.
