There are plenty of reasons to go free even for a quality game. Some people just enjoy having their creations free and easily accessible, and can easily do so if the game's production involved little to no expenses. There's a decent amount of people who will bypass even a cheap game just because it costs money. A free game won't have that problem. Not everyone is a patreon jew.

>The ending to this game felt very abrupt and rushed, and this is just my opinion but nothing happened during most the of the story and bits and pieces of the writing were hard to trudge through. The artwork, however, is beautiful, and its really impressive to see such a cheap game that's so detailed.

Being in the perspective of a yuri MC is different, since they actually have personalities and defined characters, so they often appear on screen. The same is true of otome protagonists and BL protagonists.

There are bishoujo-game MCs with personalities and otome-game MCs with none, that's really not the difference.

Otome game protagonists are more likely to have side images and appear in CGs than bishoujo game protagonists are (I suspect this is because either the artist likes drawing cute girls or thinks the audience will appreciate seeing the cute girl). However, they very rarely have an on-screen sprite facing the reader, because they are still meant to be self-inserts to some degree.

A lot of yuri games are not written from the perspective of "I want to be a girl dating a girl", but "I want to see two girls kissing". The cuteness of both girls is important, and they're both on display.

I haven't played a lot of BL games so I don't know if it happens there as well, but the ones I have seen are more like otome games - protagonist has a side image and appears in CGs, but does not have a sprite.

Shoulders and hips are still coplanar. Left shoulder raised, right shoulder dropped, breasts will shift similarly because they're connected by skin. The right forearm should probably be either entering view from a shallower angle, or further away , depending on the direction the elbow is from the shoulder. But other than that, the pose is entirely possible without any bone-breaking.

I wasn't here When It All Began, but if I had to guess I would suspect that people would come into /vn/ or the like and start trying to tell everyone about this great idea they had to make their own game, and were told to piss off, no OELVNs allowed. so they made their own thread.

As long as I've been around it's always been mostly a dev thread, but not with any real ties to the other gamedev thread. After all, most EVN devs know fuck all about programming and/or game design, they just want waifus.
