This is the part which gets me the most.

The old devs used to do patch previews a month before a major patch and that provided a longer period for collecting feedback and making any changes.

This shit on the other hand is a bunch of poorly designed decisions revealed 5 days before the major patch. I don't think our feedback is going to do anything at this point.

I wonder how the powerup transfer will be handled with players that already have some powerups. Will it combine them or overwrite them? Got a few benched players with incomplete powerups that I wouldn't mind transferring to other players I'm still working on, but if it overwrites the existing ones, it's a waste. so what should i be focusing my team on if i'm just starting out and want to optimize my progression, pve or pvp? based on rewards it seems like pve gives much more and sooner than pvp.

i got 2 accounts to 30 and both turned out alright, so i'm trying to figure out which one to focus on, one has 2 legendaries that are supposedly good for pve (bell and beth + griffith/uriel/latios, lynia and zibroi as other notable players) and other has 2 legendaries rated higher for pvp (metatron and duran + beatrice, milky and nerua, no gk though)

DMT used to have some pretty good developer - player base interactions.
The players used to discuss some very detailed game mechanics, even going so far as to discuss the RNG probabilities of skills, rolls, stat resets and stuffs.
When there are new bugs popping out, the community would work together to find out what triggers the bugs and give the info to the devs through the official forums.
Obviously this is not the case with SS.

On the announcement of Season 2, everyone was happy and excited. They even have this special high price packages for the day.

I bought some even when I don't usually whale.

Then they closed down 2 months after that.

It's not impossible to listen to the feedback from your player base, given that the devs knows that the players understood the game mechanics and actually had an idea of how to fix the game.

More to the point, I doubt you're capable of recognizing a 'good change' if it came up and punched you in the face. You merely parrot the opinions of others with no real understanding of the underlying mechanics of 'why make this change instead of that change' or 'why aren't they buffing MY characters?'.

Admittedly, not all the changes are good. Many are shit. A lot of major mechanics added are terrible, like coop defense and club matches.

From the dev notes- The new stones are great. The new Gatekeepers are great. Saving decks for CoT is absolutely fucking great. Forward passers getting buffed is great. Powerup transfer is great. Season 2 rotating into scouts is great. A new set of legendaries is great. Draw exclusions are fucking incredible, d stones or no. Mileage players coming pre-ST'd is great. 4* players getting their third stone slot is great.

Transcendant powerups are okay. Nothing major. More Colo is all right. I'm pretty neutral since I'm not clearing it yet anyway.

Super training to 7* is... well, we always knew it was coming one day. For people at the top of the ladder the game is running out of GRIND. I'm not thrilled about it since the turbowhales will get their teams powered up relatively quick. But that's the case for any new thing in a pay2win game. This change does fuck up some Leaders. My Bell is gonna have FOUR unspent points now.

The only mechanics that really worry me is the ability to change the color of a stone slot (but it's not entirely clear if that slot will be able to equip a unique or not), and the halved spirit gauge at start. THAT one is gonna dick some people over. Myself included. My Nera/Meiran combo is gonna suffer.

But so what? I can just change my lineup to adapt, and hopefully BB repeals it. Or maybe I bring Didi into my team. I do have fallback players. Nera/Meiran was always a fairly risky combo anyway since it only works half the time anyway.

BB certainly has dropped the ball in terms of bug fixing, though the silence on the forums usually means they know about it but don't know how to fix it yet, so they don't want to comment and get everyone's hopes up.

I see what you mean. The game actually closed down due to internal issues and some sources say it's related to the Apple store. Somehow Apple won't approve the updated APKs and that made the devs cannot release more updates. For close to 6 months I think.

At this point I don't even give a fuck if the bugs are fixed or not. This is one of the last games where non whales can compete at the top of the leagues. I am not a whale and I got to top 100. Hopefully this will still be the case with the Seventh Star update.

If anyone can tell me any other games where you can get to the top without spending more than $5 a month, do tell me about it though.

Slot rerolling is a mistake. There is a innate sense of balance to units based on stone slots. When you're able to reroll to minmax with whatever unique you want on any unit, it just breaks the game's balance down more and makes it more trivial.

The example photo made it appear that locking out 5* players was fairly cheap. They had 16 players excluded and the cost was still 15 stones per. That isn't fucking bad at all. The new level 70 cap and the cost of STing players means that literally nobody is going to have a fully maxed out team for a very long time. And I'm 100% fine with that.

While the whales will progress faster than the casuals, the important thing here is that for the first time in a long time, everyone is going to actually be making some kind of progression.

New CoD levels and rebalanced stages mean that people will have to put in some effort again.

The brutal costs for STing to 7* means that people will need to plan and prepare for their upgrades in a way they haven't for a long time.

You get 230 d-stones every 2 months including the 2 week break.
