The most important part is to get yourself some good cards soon, either by buying or playing against not so great players (random merchants etc.). I'm nearing the end of Flotsam, I know you can side with either Roche or Iorveth to leave to the next chapter, and each choice changes the game's story somewhat dramatically, from what I've heard.

Which is the best path, /wtc/? I'm leaning Roche, just because I recently beat Witche 1 and Iorveth sort of reminds me a bit of Yaevinn. He's a terrorist who will never actually bring about any change. He's trying to fight racism and hatred with racism and hatred. Roche on the other hand, helped Geralt escape from the La Valette dungeons and believed him enough to go on his word that he didn't kill Foltest, and so far, aside from being a hot--head and being a bit touchy about being a literal whoreson, seems pretty cool.

I know Roche shows up in Witcher 3, but never saw anything about Iorveth. I imagine if I don't side with Roche he won't be very friendly in 3, or will flat-out not show up, right?

Replay and do both.

Iorveth has more interesting and fun quests and a much better area and setting for chapter 2, it's also a longer chapter 2.

Roche has a shorter and lamer chapter 2, but a longer chapter 3, where Iorveths chapter 3 is much shorter.

Roches translates better into the 3rd game, where nothing you do on iorveths path even comes back into Witcher 3.

Overall I'd say Iorveths is more enjoyable.

I'm level 21, my first playthrough, and I JUST found out you can win Gwent cards by playing against random NPCs. I thought you only win cards from the Gwent related quests, and couldn't figure out why after 57 hours of playtime, I still can't even use any decks other than Northern Realms.

I have few criticisms about this game, but the biggest one has got to be how bad the skybox is, and/or the visuals at night time in general.

Why is the sun way above the horizon at 3AM, for example...? Even in the daytime, the skybox is often darker than the light that lights up the terrain would suggest. I have a pretty anally calibrated color set on my monitor, so it's just straight up not good. Middle of the day, everything looks vibrant and beautiful. Even in the sunset, there's some pretty sweet views. But during dead of night, the colors get completely desaturated. Shouldn't necessarily be the case in a full moon night.

All this doesn't usually bother me that much, but it's still a shame. Could have tried harder.

My Geralt enjoys a nice, successful retirement with Yennefer, occasionally they have a vacation for a brief change of scenery. Ciri visits frequently with her four children, 2 boys and 2 girls. Ciri cares deeply for the father, who isn't a blood relation to her.
