it's a lot better now, but it's still bottom of the barrel as far as maps go, especially turf maps. those long ass paths are a bitch to paint and the tiny, cramped center of the stage is where all the action happens, assuming the teams are equal (the additions help, but it still sucks compared to most other maps). there are often matches where both teams make no progress and everyone is stuck in the center for three minutes.

yeah, it's still fun, but it's shit next to just about all the other maps.

Here's a hint idiot, EVERY charger that plays on that map is either going to be on their platform or their overlook. You move up the ramps in order to scare the eliter/chargee to swim higher and closer to their base giving you and your team free control of their ramps. You stay hidden, you stay alive, you paint the walls in order to flank better if the ramps are in the other teams control. Eliters have 3 full charged shots, fucking count them if you need to. Once you both know where you guys are relative to each other, you have full control of the outcome. They can't hold their shot for a long time either so keep that in mind.

Here's what you don't do: Die like a C- shitter like you all probably are by standing in mid while having no map awareness where enemy squids are allowing yourself to get picked off from a charger.

I was already having problems with them before Sheldon's Picks was announced, and then with the first wave carbons got better flick ink efficiency, and on top of that, burst bombs were changed to be a lot more effective. Once the new weapon hype started to settle down I noticed a lot more carbons than before.

the neat thing about carbon is that it has a pretty low skill floor and a pretty high skill ceiling. I've also noticed that it's the weapon that the few friends that I know who've played splatoon always mention. they say it's op and shit every time haha.

it's also really easy to use if you're laggy. I had to tether to my phone one time, and despite my horrible lag I was still doing alright by using the carbon, a weapon that I never use.
