What's the best Varus build? I've been dicking around with this and been doing pretty well.

Youmuus, Lucidity, Muramana, Last Whisper, Deaths Dance and Maw.

It's pretty radical. Being able to Siege like a beast while doing consistent damage against tanky champs with prolonged Q spam.

I checked the wiki and it still doesn't make any sense. I went in game and it says 40% additional damage per pellet when you crit.

On the wiki it says 40% x (1 + bonus crit damage) bonus damage, which would make it 90% additional damage per pellet.

I doubt graves starts hitting in the 3000's when he has 457 AD with infinity edge.

Think about that from a data perspective. Since cleaver is directly affecting the armor value, and apprehend pen is based on the armor value, for apprehend to apply "before" cleaver there would have to be two armor numbers - your original armor and your current armor. The game doesn't track that. Whatever number is in your armor is your current armor. %penetration is a portion of your current armor.

That's one big point.

The other 2 big factors why dota always has high pick rate is that their tournament style favors a lot more experimental playstyle than our series format. The entire dota community is also much less developed in the top level to league which results in lot more meme teams and picks getting trough, bit like how league was in season 1 and 2. Especially on the team level dota is whole lot less professional with entire teams being just glorified street teams picking random shit they like to play and then disbanding and forming new teams after ever tournament.

Once the scene grows on their side I expect champion variety to drop as people are less willing to take risks and the meta gets more solidified as skill increases.

What I'll try to do is, assuming I'm playing a jungler with lvl 3 gank potential(voli, sej, ect), give every lane one gank to at least burn some flashes, if not, kill them. And basically, if your team is competent, they can use that single early gank to snowball themselves which gives you time to farm, look for invades or countergank.

Obviously this is best case scenario. There are tons of other variables such as getting early invaded by cheesy ass junglers, having camps stolen, dying while ganking, ect. So keep in mind that junglers have to deal with their own problems too, they're not always able to hand out ganks willy nilly. Also, a the average jungler is going to be much less inclined to gank you if you've already fed or lost your lane because as much as they might want to help you, it would be a risky move and they might get nothing out of it.

First, incentivize attacking and defending turrets. The first turret taken now grants a ‘First Blood’ reward, but turrets are now better at defending their allied champions.

New: "Turret First Blood" gold: +275 local, +25 global (400 total gold across the team)
New: Turret AI has been updated, and are better at defending allied champions (coming in 6.16)
Second, target a lane that’s ideal for fast push strategies. Bot lane’s outer turret defenses are no longer identical to the other lanes, and cannon minion spawns now rotate between lanes.

Fortification (temporary damage reduction buff on turrets) changed

Duration: 7 minutes -> 5 minutes
Damage reduction: 35% -> 50%
Fortification removed from bot lane turrets (we’re investigating a more nuanced approach to this)
Outer turret HP: 3300 -> 3500
Cannon minions now spawn differently

Each team gets one cannon minion per wave, rotating lanes.

The only thing I Don't like about Illaoi is her W's damage and scaling. Static mana costs and cooldown across all 5 levels, literally only 0.5% max hp damage per level. When you build a lot of HP you want steraks to complement it, and that goes the same for titanic hydra. steraks gage and titanic hydra are usually my last 2 items since they are only good at the end of item builds.

I don't have a place where I upload games I take part of recently. I stream but not recently or at least 7 months. Winning lane against champions like Jax and Swain has a lot to do with the runepage I use, which are full armor or full magic resist. The meta of top and mid is at a point where everyone is trying to be ambiguous on where they are going (for example, with ekko and yasuo on the same team both running teleport and thunderlords, its impossible to tell who is going mid and who is going top; Because of this, running a full armor runepage when your actually vs Ekko can mess up the entire game, causing other runepages focused on ambiguous mid / top lane, which revolves around HP for Shen specifically since tanks build around the enemy team).

Because I knew Swain was top or Jax was top, I was able to use the correct runepage and win the lane a lot easier.

When is nunu going to be reworked?

He's got snowball for winning every single trade with, he's got sustain out the ass, and he's got free mana as well. This is lvl 1. The only champions that can win that lane are the ones that can lock him down so the jungler can kill him.

He permaslows you and slows your attack speed, but skarner gets reworked because he permaslowed for much less and didn't even touch your attack speed.

So your rune pages are FULL magic resist and/or armor against a certain matchup or is there attack speed or something in there?

Also do you find CDR to be important on Shen? I know he has a problem building it and though smart usage of spells (Which is heavily important on Shen) can make each one more valuable, I can't help but feel that having some CDR for taunt, ult, or even W is quite important.

In fact, I recently changed my (Single) rune page for Shen top from 9x AD Reds, 9x Armor yellows, 3x MS Quints and 9x MR Blues to the same but with 3x MR blues and 6x scaling CDR just for the measly bit of CDR, but with Shen's low base stats I feel squishy and vulnerable in a matchup, especially against hard carries like Irelia or Darius.

Do you have a recommendation for an all purpose rune page that encompasses all matchups for Shen? I'm poor and don't play enough to warrant buying new rune pages but I just wanna know what you recommend.

Also who do you play when Shen is taken/banned?
