I tried following your directions, but I did not see an option to convert the card into a folder of saves, nor did I find a PCSX2 folder in my Documents folder (my setup must be messed up as heck, or I need to update the emulator. Pic related, version I'm using is pcsx2-v1.3.1). So I just downloaded myMC to get the save files off of the memory card, and put all the DDS saves in a folder. I uploaded the DDS saves (format is .psu, I can change it if needed), as well as the memory cards themselves in case I'm retarded and you'd rather do it yourself than depend on me

To the guy in the last thread, I disagree that Persona 1 didn't have a tone. The screams in the hospital, Number 1's development being more understood through time (especially with what his Ultimate turns out to be, which was fucking great), that famous image of the player seeing himself playing, Brown actually getting serious.
I would say that P1 is one of the happiest endings in all of MegaTen, but still felt very rewarding. Also liked how it really mattered which members you decided to bring. Persona 4, some of the members were just so questionable. Yosuke being such an asshole with no payoff, Yukiko being so nothing, and Teddy being a tad annoying at times got to me. I think the big thing about P4 that got me was the fact that the social links seemed less interesting than P3's, Protag being blessed with likability/Social Link powers by Izanami, and how the team mates didn't have that fluctuating relationship with the protag like in any of the other games. Dojima felt like the only one who would ever challenge him.

I'm hyped despite the delays. My only super significant problem with P3 and 4 is that their dungeons were "walk around in circles with occasional battles until you reach the end." I think Magatsu Inaba had like one or two puzzles or challenge rooms and that's it.
The stealth elements seem like a remedy to that, but holy shit I really hope they don't have randomized dungeons again. That's 90% of what made P3/4 dungeons so bad, and it ESPECIALLY won't work if you're expected to stealth around randomly generated environments.

Bringing back demons and negotiations is great.
Music and aesthetics seem great, they always are.

I think it has been confirmed somewhere that the dungeons won't be randomized and that there will be some puzzles to solve to progress from time to time. I can't give you a source right now though, but personally I'm really enthusiastic thanks to that and the fact that demons are back,( not counting Nyx and Izanami if they're demons).

Yeah, it was a pretty easy fight, took me less than 10 minutes.

I used Vishnu for healing, Metatron and Beelzebub to cast buff/debuffs and since Lucifer don't cast any Dekaja/Dekunda, they did nothing for the rest of the fight while Demi-fiend did all the work alone.

Heard that Demi-fiend in DDS is way harder, I will wait an PSN sale to get it.

How do I motivate myself to continue playing any SMT games? Lucifer is the equivalent of Christian Satan in SMT.

Generally speaking though, SMT doesn't deal with Christian mythology; it's all Jewish.

There is , actually, an optional dialogue with Izuna in the Warlord path where you can tell that after the angels are taken care of you plan to rule the world anyway. Unlike the Despot route, she is more resigned to it then fearful tho. (Naoya approves... obviously)

From what I know, Satan means "adversary". Satan is the angel that is supposed to tempt and judge men and show God that mankind can be led astray (go read the book of Job, it's fun). It can be discussed whether Satan refers to a single angel (if so, he could be Mastema, who has similar functions) or is just a title that could be taken by any archangel who is gonna play that role at the time.

Lucifer is actually born of a mistranslation of the expression "morning star" in the Bible that refered to some babylonian king. The story around him is pretty common in older religions, but he problably is based on ancient canaanite god Attar, the Morning Star, who attempted to take Baal's (who himself ended up known as the demon Beelzebub by the christians) place as king of the gods, but failed and ended up as some king of the underworld.

In latter christian literature, like Paradise Lost, Lucifer takes the name of "Satan" after his fall, to show he is opposing God, so christians often confuse the two angels, and both names ended up synonimous with "the devil", but they are very much different entities with different origins.
