Fire mage works in legion due to the way the weapon works. You get a free ability that is instacrit and does a good amount of damage. That, mixed with the 2x inferno blast off GCD means you can pop pyro pretty much every other cast.

I actually enjoy Balance quite a bit (it's a DoT class now, people should play it like so, with Balance of Power) and Bear is still Bear, only slightly less mitigation and Maul... Maul is so bad it doesn't even deserve a slot. The skill is a resource drain and fucking MOONFIRE cast deals more.

But with phoenix flames, the ablitity you SHOULD be spreading it with, it is far higher. The skill comes in with spreading ignite with phoenix instead of fireblast.

REAL combustion for me was a new dot that combined your previous 3 (if you did it right) without consuming them, and did not reset fire blast. THAT was the real one and the "new" (now old) combustion is a fucking abomination. That said..

I don't mind the new one since your rotation focused more on putting out PB's than spreading combustion, especially on single target bosses.

On multiple mobs there were far better ways (historically) for putting out damage. From ye old flamestrike+ blizzard, to LB spam, to ignite spread we have today (missing a few metas, of course)

it has rarely fucked me over, but once i saw that it was heroic leap 2.0 and i started to avoid inclines. it's been really nice for getting midair saps with vanish -> grapple to blinded target near the end of its duration -> sap / quick getaways. sometimes it just fucks you though which is unfortunate; not enough to make me hate it yet though

Healing Elixirs is now an active 30sec cd free to use skill, stacking up to 2, that heals you for 15% of max life, and auto triggers if you drop bellow 35% hp.

You do have to choose between this and diffuse magic/dampen harm tho that sucks ass. But still as a skill on its own, it's pretty much the same, if not better, that the shield we had.

random is inherently bad sicne the rotation differs depending on what buffs you get and you have to adapt to that

rng is not necessarily a bad thing, pressing the same 5 buttons for two years in legion knowing exactly what is going to happen might not be as interesting as adapting to different popping buffs and have moments of pure insanity when the stars and moon align

I get retro arcane mage feelings. But worse.

My LvB crit for 18k with flameshock up on the target. My LB hit for 6-7k.

I actually genuinely like it. It makes me angry as fuck most of the time when you keep rolling Grand Melee, Shark Infested Waters and even better - Grand Melee AND Shark Infested Waters. But when it pays off and you pull off some crazy shit it's great. And Grappling Hook is nice, it's basically a cooler Heroic Leap with no damage and 30 sec CD But I have fun with it.
