How else do you define a support weapon? SnS is honestly less of a support weapon, but it's the best candidate for Wide Range since you can pop consumables without having to sheath your weapon which means prompt healing for your party. Stuff like absolute evasion and extract hunter are retarded and take away from the game. The gunlance one that maxes out your heat gauge is fine because it lets you skip the useless shelling and go straight into your piddly little 5% damage buff and we all know GL needs all the help it can get.

The big flashy attack ones are mostly fine, but most of the time they're just another button to press when you have a big opening and don't add anything to the game.

The buffs range from fine (gunpowder infusion, which rewards you for doing damage by letting you do more damage) to retarded (energy charge, let's make the axe part of switch axe COMPLETELY obsolete).

tl;dr I don't like them.

don't even bother with bow til youve beaten most of the game and would prefer to be a gunner online. do what you want but I main bow online for every game and it just works better not actually having to grind things with bow til you have access to real armor sets and can maintain a bigass stash of dash juice.

theres literally no good bow DPS armor sets low rank worth the time they take to grind, but nargacuga is probably your best bet.

I'm using Obituary Vertex, Lagiacrus Mail, Hermitaur Braces, Rathalos Faulds and Rathlos Greaves with a single slot charm for a LR AuL.
For you, I'd recommend Rathalos S for all the pieces that have Attack, and then either gem in or mismatch other pieces of armor that have Attack.

Oh that's easy to get around.
Just get used to timing the final hit as they turn. Sidestep their charge, then ready your hammer.
Most monsters it's pretty easy to do, since they do two turns before launching their next attack.

But then you have annoying fucks like Tigrex who can feint their second turn and immediately charge at you instead. Or big nasties like Shiggy McGiggy whose legs you generally wanna be under at all times unless you know them inside & out.

I can usually get at least one KO minimum per hunt against most monsters, but I've found that my overall DPS suffers if I try to do it against the higher-ranked ones.

Guild being the only one with the double swing makes it hard to pick others. Especially since the poke has some pretty awful range. I like Aerial and Adept, you just have to get used to the timing of the inputs. Aerial hops are a relatively easy 2 notes of your choice depending on the monster, and Adept's counter has nice dodge cancel windows.

I've decided that Tetsucabra is probably a way better training dummy since he's big, has decent HP and has windows you can exploit. It's hard to learn a new weapon when you're more focused on evading than actually doing combos.

What are the best skills for SA? Is there anything interesting instead of just the usual Atk Up, earplugs etc.

Is weakness exploit useless in online? The chance is, unless you use hammer/GS, you're not gonna hit 45 hitzone (which in most case, the head).
