Shit lads, this may be the end of the road for me. I'm on Conquest's endgame and I keep getting creamed. I have exactly 4 viable units (Camilla, Leo, Xander and Kamui) and no matter how I pair them up or position them one of them gets gangbanged to death by these purple motherfuckers before they can fight back. If I add literally anyone else into the mix they just die after 1-2 enemy attacks instead of 5+.
I cracked and looked at the online guides and they all involve these fancy skills I don't have or the use of staffs which I don't own and don't have anyone sturdy enough to use.
I think I might actually have to start my entire campaign over and strategize to get the skills/viable units I need for endgame. Has this ever happened to anyone else who played Conquest completely blind, or am I just abnormally stupid?
Also, fuck whoever thought not letting you save before the endgame was a great idea. Upping the difficulty is fine. Making you jump through the same 15-minute hoop every time you want to try again? Not so much.

In most cases, Odin is the only unsalvageable one. Selena and Laslow both have glaring problems that can be solved with backpacks until they reach levels where they can actually kill things. Laslow has the added bonus of being a rally bot.
Given, all three are outclassed easily by others, but Selena and Laslow can have some use without trouble, unlike Odin, who just farts magic in a random direction and then usually dies.

My current Swordmaster!MU is pretty much an even dodgier Ryouma but without unpenalized 1-2 range. Xander is actually doing better than Ryouma in combat to me since I got some nice Spd level ups for him. Mozu has everything but Lck over Takumi. Spear Master!Hinoka and Priestess!Sakura are still irreplaceable though.
