Play against yourself. PC and mobile. You get 1 level for every 2 concedes. Basically unlock all classes and get mage to 4, level up every other class once. Infinitely faster than actually playing the game.

I've kept putting Vanish every once in a while in my decks and it's just too damn slow.

Aggro decks all run minions that cost less than 3 so it's pointless because they can just spill them all back, even reactivating any beneficial battlecries they might have.

With slower decks you might as well use two Saps and have the same effect.

It more or less only works with decks that play consistently on curve so that hypothetically you either force them to play only their cheap minions or their expensive one but the expensive one is usually the one with a fantastic effect.

It doesn't help you catch up when you're behind and does nothing when you're ahead and when you're neck and neck it's like, fuck, maybe?

I've tried it in my niche Battlecry C'thun deck.

I even have Kidnappers in there just because too. It works as you would expect.

PROTIP for getting a new account to Level 20:
1. You can use Cheat Engine to speed hack through the tutorial at 15.0, skips all animations.
2. You can use Cheat Engine to speed hack through basic training at 3.0, cuts down on animations majorly. More could get you disconnected.
3. Make a deck of all 1 and 2 drops, and just smorc in basic training. You get EXP based on how many cards you play, and this is a viable strategy vs. the NPCs anyway so you'll even win sometimes. With the speedhacks you can complete games super fast, and you'll gain a level every other match, and sometimes once a match.

Some people may be interested in getting this done without wasting time, so here's the guide for the fastest possible completion. Remember, our goal is 20 total levels across all unlocked characters.
Step 0: on your main account, have one deck available of every class (except Mage). You can auto-generate them if you need to, the contents don't matter.
Step 1: using your referral link, create a new account and complete the tutorial (this is the longest part).
Step 2: with Mage unlocked, start a friendly match against your main account. Play Mage on the new account, and have your main instant-concede one game as each other class. This will unlock the other 8 classes at level 1, and raise Mage to level 4.
Step 3: have your main account concede 2 games against each of the other 8 classes, leveling each one to level 2 and achieving 20 total levels.
Step 4: relog on your main account to unlock your new hero.
Conceding a friendly match is much faster than playing entire games vs the practice AI (that method can take a whole hour). You can hit concede as soon as the Innkeeper starts shouting the hero names, completing each game a few seconds after it loads.
This does require that you be logged in to Hearthstone with 2 different accounts at the same time, but that's easy to do with a PC and a phone, or a phone and a tablet, or two PCs, etc.

It took me like 20 minutes at most
