Bad! Banshee missiles are much too slow to be effective, and firing them close range is a tad innaccurate.

You'll want 2 in lightning strike and 1 in chain/spiral at stage 1, then equally distribute your stage 2 points to each one of those.

The Elder Kraken is incredibly fucking robust and can easily stage 1 wipe a hunter team with little trouble with these skills due to high damage output and AOE effectiveness. Hence you want to build it that way.>>148245235

When you learn the meta a bit better, you can start seeing other people's faults better too. You could have just fucked the match up just by yourself but other people probably weren't at their a-game either...

Sometimes the monster also can just be too good. I remember playing a lot of matches where the team gave their best and the monster was just more relentless in combat or smart outside of it.

Being the medic is really hard sometimes, even in games that went good and the team won, you still wonder if you could have done more at some points in the match. Since the trapper's dome is now universal, i imagine the monster will go after medics even harder than before too.

They should only dome you once for the entire match. You should be able to get to stage 2 before they get you the first time, and if/when they do dome you once you escape you're fucking gone for the rest of the match.

You need to wait until they scan you, sneak around obstacles the other way as they try to cut you off, and as soon as you're past the choke point they were going for you dash 3 times and hit 1 and you're across the map. Decoys can be sent when sneaking for added lulz.

You tell them that you are not good with the class, and ask if someone wants to change, then you just un-lock and lock a different class if the other player un-locks his class too.

Changing without stating was also part of the pre-game meta, at least before. Usually if me and my two friends saw that a person wasn't saying anything or picking a class someone of us un-locked our pick to see if the random player was really interested in playing something else, since even though we wanted to play a particular class every now and then, each one of us could basically play any class if it was actually needed.

The key to getting ahead in this game is to buy a founders key from G2A or something for 10 bucks to unlock all but Gorgon and the tier 5/6 hunters. You also get a handful of keys and perks, most notably the gold perks.

Then, you should focus on leveling up every hunter to 11. That way you unlock all the bronze perks, and you can see which hunters unlock which silver perks, and play accordingly.

Only ever spend keys on gold perks and maybe Gorgon if you like her. I personally don't and regret the purchase. Don't buy the tier 5/6 hunters until they go on free rotation and you know for sure you'll enjoy them.

You...do have 10$ to skip hundreds of hours of grind, right?

On that note Trapper is possibly my favorite role but I still have to buy some more Trappers. Only have Crow and honestly, I'm probably playing him wrong because he doesn't feel all that effective. The arming time on Maggie's traps is super long after the nerf, it's impossible to time them to waste the monster's traversals and abilities like leap and charge, unlike with Griffin where it's manual and hitscan so you can time it perfectly. A lot of the time they will also get destroyed just from random monster flailing and splash damage. The harpooning is also a lot more inconsistent than Griffin's because they are static traps whereas with Griffin you can constantly reposition yourself in relation to your teammates, the monster, and the terrain which is an absolutely huge advantage.

Cabot's damage amp is not enough to justify using him over other Support characters who bring more more important utility or life-saving abilities. Even if we're talking strictly about pubs with really bad players, you can make much more of an impact as Sunny or Hank than you can as Cabot.

all your abilities do damage over time except mimic. You aren't very tanky so just stay mobile as you wear them down. The spider trap can immobilize and damage a hunter for about 4 seconds, which is pretty huge. I usually go for their medic and then stick a spider trap on them after they go down. Every time an ally tries to pick them up the spider takes them away while I spray them with acid. The entire team slowly melts away (literally).

Why is Hyde's DPS so inferior to Markov's? He has to be fairly close range to use his flamer, it takes long to reload, is easily abused by any mobile monster, and overall just does a fraction of Markov's damage.

I've tried Hyde myself and so did my friend with whom I played since the game went f2p, his damage is just shit. Observing pubs that picked Hyde confirms the same.

Everything but normal Goliath and Behemoth are retarded.

Normal Goliath can't kill anyone for hot bullshit and Behemoth gets himself murdered for using skills so the big health pools is actually pretty much normal sized.

What do you do to (e)kraken as griffin/trapper?
He doesn't give a shit about harpoons since he's ranged and I can't imagine stasis being much use either.

His scanner thing is dogshit and tells you shit you already know.
Only worthwhile thing he has is the Repulsor which can stop the monster from moving for a small time if angled correctly. Can force the Kraken to land which is neat I guess.

I'm torn between spamming wraith and gorgon now before they get nerfed so I can get their perks fast or waiting for the nerfs so I don't completely ruin the game for other people

Well wraith is ridiculous. So far I've only killed one as a hunter and that's because he was a lagging shit and got a huge spike during an orbital. I'm almost back up to 9500. Who's the best trapper to carry the team? Is elder kraken any good? He looks like a shitty version of kraken.

every monster has the exact same strategy, they only differ in combat

The only rason it feels like you have to try as goliath is because goliath's traverse sucks dick compared to wraith, kraken, or gorgon. He covers very little ground.

Just chip away at it with your weapons. It's fairly easy to shoot if its in the air, even if most weapons arent great at range
Jack may be able to force him down with repulsors though, and Crow can scare it with armor penetration and ranged stasis
