I recently got my i200 relic and wondering what my options are for upgrading moving forward. I've looked in to the next anima step, but the equivelent of 800 alexander normal runs (if I'm working it out right) doesn't sound appealing at all. Are there other options beyond that? Remove WHM's enhanced raise trait and make Raise work in combat so that PLD can now cross class battle rez

Hatch wasn't a tankbuster at all; the idea if you were solo-tanking was to plop Twintania down on top of a Neurolink and then just step inside it whenever Hatch came out, which made it do like a couple hundred damage at best.

Other than that, I guess "tankbuster" is a vaguely-enough defined term that you could probably count T2 cleaves and T8 lasers, but that's REALLY stretching it IMO. Even in comparison to the not-quite-tankbusters Alexander has (Photon Spaser, Hydrothermal Missile, Fluid Swing, etc), those attacks were really pretty weak.


This whole point is pretty academic I guess, considering that it's all ARR-era stuff, which A) Didn't have Sheltron to really shift PLD's emphasis to physical cast-bar tankbusters, and B) Didn't have DRK to compete with PLD in the first place, but I don't think you can really claim that Coil had a "decent mix" of physical and magical.

If anything, Coil was just the opposite of Gordias, where everything that really mattered was physical, and magic mitigation was extremely niche.
