I do believe with just mods alone you can get the dame up to 20-25(might actually might be around 30) and with HG and BM maxed out while hopped up on drugs you could get decent damage

I dropped the three contraption dlc files in my directory, activated it in NMM. It doesn't appear in the dlc section of the main menu but i have some new objects in the settlement view. How can i be sure the mod is really on?I didn't find the machines and stuff.

The license in the installer literally states it's free to use for any PC games that use Havok (including your own, since they also distributed the libs for adding Havok to your game with the same terms) as long as its strictly non commercial.

Obviously IANAL, but M$ isn't distributing that binary to users under those terms (or at all, under any terms), and the original anon who uploaded it doesn't have the legal right to offer the software to anybody under those terms either.
If you download the binary from M$ servers, you are agreeing to a contract (think EULA click-through) that binds you to being able to use the software under whatever licensing terms are included therein.
Anybody who downloaded the 32-bit binary from Intel is ofc still free to use it under the original terms, but it is incompatible with Fo4 and so not useful in this context. That the older binary featured the same licensing is immaterial to M$ explicitly not offering the license.

If you only have minor things that you want to change, xedit is a lot gentler. It's just that certain tasks (scripting, world editing, navmeshing, etc.) require the full interface of the CK.
What are you finding hard about it though? If you have a mod idea in your head, just look up some tuts on how to get the parts you need working. It is functionally very comparable to what we have had for now like half a dozen games for over a decade: old tuts are good enough for the interface, and pretty much anything circa Skyrim will be nearly identical in Fo4.

I played through 3 about 15 times and NV about 20 (most are modded playthroughs with different character themes) and I usually get to max level before doing the last missions. I enjoy exploring, which usually leads to mass murdering enemies, which lead to constant levels. The NV playthrough with AWOP had me lvl 30 before I got to the Strip.

The world is downscaled. Locations are farther apart in reality. You don't just walk from Boston downtown to Sanctuary in 30 minutes.
To compensate this for the sake of "realism" and "immersion", there's also a timescale. One RL hour is 20 in-game hours.

The needs your character has are scaled to the in-game timescale. Which means you have to drink one or two bottles of water within a day, or rather, roughly 1 hour of playing.

And just as various meds, caffeine and alcohol dehydrate in real life, they do in-game.
But due to the entire timescale stuff and mechanic-wise, this happens almost immediately, so it's more noticeable.

You're exaggerating. The first few "tiers" of hunger and thirst are completely neglectable, as the downsides are barely noticeable. You don't have to eat/drink as soon as a message pops up.
And even then it's more like every 20 minutes or so, if you're not using chems and meds.

Also, watch what you're consuming. Purified Water "cures" more thirst than Dirty Water, or Nuka Cola does, for example. Same with roasted and cooked meat, as opposed to canned pre-war food and raw meat, etc.

A Mirelurk queen steak almost cures all tiers of hunger instantly.

Across the road from County Crossing, where the the huge round tanks are at, is a burnt skeleton with a Flamer next to him. There are 2 bloodbugs hanging around there, so watch out for those. You can also craft a Flamer with the vanilla Contraptions Workshop heavy weapons forge. If you add the Manufacturing Expanded mod, you can produce Flamer Fuel using the ammo forge.

I upped the damage on Flamer (and made small changes to the Cryolator & Minigun) using the CK. I could upload the .esp for you if you're still around.

So I can't tell if this is a bug or a feature. I set a scavenging station and the guy I have set to it, his inventory is constantly filling with weapons, armor, ammo, food, and medical items. I keep trading with him and i've gotten 20 weapons, several sets of armor and clothing, and about 30 stims. Not counting ammo and food.
