I can only say to avoid Emmet, he's fucking garbage. Laz historically is only get at low levels and exceedingly high.

Aggressive supports like Cabot, Bucket and Kalas are also difficult to use in a pub environment. Griffin has great offensive but low survivability and no self peel.

I've won the vast majority of my games pubbing as a hunter, but then again I am a veteran. At very low levels the monster is advantaged in the fact that he has perfect teamwork, on account of his only team being himself, whereas the hunters require teamwork.

defensive supports are dead (Except sunny) offensive supports are significantly better now since defensive supports shield was nearly cut in half.

most of the assaults are ass, Markov and a damage amped blitz are very good, lennox is above average. Hyde is mediocre, everyone else is pretty garbage now unless you run a slim/torvald/cabot comp.

For the medics, Val/rogue val are as solid as ever, Caira is decent. Laz is a pubstomping god still, slightly less so than before though. I have no idea what the fuck they did to emet but RIP. Slim lost his smart choke and a good chunk of his self heal, in exchange max spread was reduced slightly. He's a hyperspecific niche pick, but solid in that niche.

For trappers, Jack is DEAD, Waggie is DEAD(damage reduced by 75% lololol), regular maggie is aight due to the daisy buffs, Crow has reduced damage and gobi, but it's not really a step-down. Abe/Griffin share the throne as KINGS. Abe is the best soft CC in the game, with griffin having the best hard cc in the game.

Krakens OP as fuck still, perhaps even moreso due to the massive nerfs parnell got
Goliaths are solidly balanced, meteor needs his burn dot toned down a little bit though.
Gorgon is 6 levels of bullshit, but bearable if you got an abe, griffin, or markov (pick one, any one, pick either trapper + markov for best results though)

Wraith is weird, her damage has been cut by about 40%, but her AoE has practically doubled. Rogue Val is a good counter to her. can be somewhat bullshit at times due to warp blast, but reasonably balanced enough.

Fucking krakens though, if you go up against one that has any level of brain and skill you're going to get DEMOLISHED.

The only way to do it is make a custom game and read the description of each hunter. It gives a general idea of what each thing does.

You put it on the ground and it charges up. It shields the first target in line of sight to take damage.

Everyone is complaining about having shitty teammates and losing constantly as Hunters. I've been maining Monster and running into competent players and only winning about 30% of my games. If anything I think the Hunters are OP because everytime I juke them out they use the scanner a few seconds later.

It basically goes

>eat 3-5 creatures, crouch, orbital scan

Then it always ends up in a level 1 dome. Sure you can hit level 2 quickly but only if you have noob players. I'm all for the orbital scan but I feel like it needs a longer cooldown. I've also been playing with friends so they've been speaking on comms and I hear how often the orbital scan is up.

Idk I'm still a new monster I can't really give a great opinion until I play more. That being said I'm having fun and I'm glad the game isn't dead anymore.

Oh and also Turtle Rock please fix the fucken bug where you spawn as something else. 3 out of my 4 last monster rounds it spawned me as the Meteor Goliath with all level 1 abilities and no perks.

Tracking isnt the problem. Any decent trapper can make sure the monster is never hidden.

The problem is that once the fight starts, hunters dont know how to play their roles. Supports and healers should always be as far away as possible, and trappers should be perma-slowing the monster.

Instead, the support and medic are always in melee range for some reason, and the monster isnt slowed 90% of the time. Then when somebody gets down the team sits together trying to rez instead of distracting the monster and rezzing the guy if the monster fucks off

Honestly, the biggest problem is one person burns ALL their jetpack to get in range. Monster engages on that person, and then everyone else burns all their jetpack to try and help that person.

The first picked gets downed, and it all dismantles from there, almost all my monster games go like that.

People need to learn to fucking respect that at any point the monster can stop running, turn around, and tear your fucking face off.

It would be absolutely stupendous if I got any amount of healing while I'm getting my shit focused but no, you keep firing Napalm at its back while I'm getting fucked.

fucking every other match my game just quits to desktop, no warning, no error, nothing.

fuck this game, hope it dies a second time.
