Well, the war took place so far back that large army tactics and primitive melee weapons were still popular, if the intro is anything to go by, so early Middle Ages at best, but leaning towards ancient times. Give it two, three thousand years.
Chara was 201X. Asriel was probably early to mid 2000s.
Frisk I'm guessing between 100 and 200 years, long enough for most monsters to forget what Toriel or even the human who fell before Frisk looked like.

Determination, that's what. Some human had the ability to turn back time and eventually create what they thought was the best possible ending for all parties involved. The information on hybrids comes from timeline dejavu, where monsters can faintly remember events from previous timelines.

The way monsters get hurt is really weird. It's somehow easier to kill them with an unloaded gun than with a frying pan. Is Frisk is going around shouting BANG BANG and exploding monsters with determination-infused magic bullets? If so, is there a max range for this sort of thing? If someone sniped the goat from over a mile away, would the human's determination still be a factor for damage? Are monsters basically impervious to harm if there's a lack of ill intent (like in the Undyne date)?
