So out of curiosity, how many players named after Overwatch characters have you guys ran into? I ran into a guy named Hanzo last night and he seemed like a decent guy despite my initial suspicions. So far I've ran into 4:

Depending on how they're set up genji could be a good choice. If you have a place where both turrets are hitting you from the front and you have LoS on Bastion that's 100 dps reflect on Bastion before counting any accidental shots he fires and then you're 5v6. Otherwise I'd probably Pharah in that situation.

Let me put it to you this way. Torbjorn is a good character for people that don't have the twitch-reaction skills to play attack heroes. With Torbjorn, you are more focused on turret positioning and the timing of replacing it.

He's an easy character for people to deal with. But he's still there so that people who aren't "MLG NOSCOPE360 CoD CSGO" can still have a character to fall back on and use, and still be useful for their team in 45% of the matches.

The fact that you're having so much trouble with him means you're not using your head when you play.

Problem is - i want, but its not working out. I want to practice and improve, but my friends do not want to play competitive so much as i do atleast in 3man queue, they are afraid to lose they ranks (57-63, lololol) and stop playing after they lose (decently lose, not getting stomped) a single game even when we won 3-4 in a row before that. But playing in solo/duo-q comp. is too much of a fucking lottery even with 60 ranks.

And QP now doesnt have the dynamics of competitive play and no one cares about anything there.

I was QP with a random playing Zen who I think was hanging around my turret because it would distract people from his own squishy self, but with his discord orb I could kill literally anyone who tried to attack us almost instantly.

because at the actual high ranks (65+) every team with have a Hog/Reaper or multiple which make the only real counter Winston basically worthless

At high level comp it's honestly just about stacking broken flanking heroes and there isn't any real way to combat it outside of playing the same thing but better since teams just defend their flankers.

The only counter to 2 tracers on KOTH is 2 better tracers
