Mapleroyals is meant to fulfill your desire of pre-bb maplestory, cutting out potentials, pay2win, and the 30+ classes.

Just sucks that the community is mostly cancerous and the most vocal people are henehoes that start drama everywhere. You can only make in-game friends in game. Forum acquaintances usually don't play with you in-game because they have their own clique.

Staff literally confirmed the only way to fix the server is to wipe it. It's not "evolving", more like they have to implement meso sinks to keep the economy from crashing.

has anyone had a problem with npc's disappearing? Trying to do my daily VL and Luden isn't there. I tried hitting Y around where he should be, but nothing. Hm Reboot's the best option you have if you really want to play GMS, you can actually progress on the game thru effort instead of having to pay huge amounts of money or investing huge amounts of time into a game, which as you already know its shit.

Pros- party play encouraged, most active server, yes even more active than scania, cubes and hyper rocks among other stuff can be bought for mesos, buffed mobs with buffed exp and drops, making it easier to lvl, progress thru the game is linear and easy.

Cons- No trading allowed even between your own characters, lively guilds are necessary to form parties for CPQ and CRA/Hmag, grinding mesos can be REALLY boring if you're not into that, lack of some nx outfits.

Don't listen to the salty 3 people playing on windia atm, they fell for the bait of p2w servers and are too invested now in 'em to move on.
Reboot had a HUGE "problem" (it's not a problem because it will never affect you on anything gameplaywise, with no trade botters have nothing to fck over with) on botters back on december but GMs actually pay attention now, and it's harder to bot, plus most botters have been banned. (t. a bot).
so it's a solid option, if you have any further question feel free to ask (also remember that this game is shit and without someone to play with you'll get bored anyway)

It's not bad, just different. If you like trading, will be bothered by not being able to share equipment between your chars, would miss the lack of scrolling etc, or if you prefer a more daily- and elite farming-focused progression to straight meso farming, reboot might not be for you. If none of that seems like a big deal, and you want to progress without spending real money on the game, its a really good option.

By no means , shade is an extremely powerful class early to mid game, while its not the best option for damage on end game compared to other classes, its still more than viable, even more thanks to his split-bind skill that basically duplicates your damage output. Shade has good mobbing but again its not the best compared to other classes, has good mobility thnks to flash jump and his 2 teleport skills, and has good survival thanks to his HP pool and auto-revive skill.

Bishop's are generally wanted in bosses, especially when 5th job comes around supposedly. They also can be pretty strong depending on how much time you're willing to put in.

The other two explorer mages are also pretty good damage wise. Fire poison stacks dots and has high natural damage. They do seem a bit button mashy though. Ice lightning is more basic, does a little less damage naturally, but still does well with funding.

Luminous obviously has good farming, needs a shit ton of funding to be good late game. Has specific on/off points during bossing when you're in equilibrium. So if you don't like having your full damage capabilities up at all time I wouldn't suggest Lumi.

Kanna is boring as hell

Battle Mage /seems/ cool but once you play it it becomes excessive the amount of stuff you have to do to maximize damage. And even when you can maximize your damage its still inconsistent like Lumi because their hyper that gives a lot of stats only lasts 60 seconds.

Beast Tamer can't boss and is just pure support.

Blaze Wizard is pretty good at bossing and mobbing. You'll generally be associated as a hacker though so thats pretty annoying. Has Burning conduit which is pretty useful in bosses, is mobile, and has consistent damage.

Kinesis i don't know enough about to make a comment about, but it looks like a fun class. Heard its button mashy.

You basically turn BPM on, then cast PP-increase-on-hit placement skill, grabbity squeeze, and use push for the DoT every ~10 seconds and then spam psychic smash and use train sometimes and still hit bottom of the damage charts

You can still use psychic smash, it's not like you're stopping attacking to just spam material drop, you're lift smash smash drop smash smash smash drop repeat, roughly. Don't know the exat numbers but I know material drop ends up being more effective, unless of course you're using everpsychic and have infinite PP at your disposal, in which case train + material drop+bpm is the way to go.

wondering if anyone knows which status effects status resistance doesn't work on? There are ways to get to 100%, so if you've done a boss and never were afflicted with them then it'd be helpful to know

also how much damage do you need to kill Ark in the dojo? I went in with something like a 1m or so range, 190% boss and at least 90% ignore as a marksman and I fell just short of killing him before time ran out.

Out of cra I believe the only status it helps you with is queen's fire aura, it helps against all of emp's stuff though
I'm able to do ark and the stage after with like 1.1m self-buffed, 177% bd and 92% ied as a wh, maybe try and optimize the earlier stages and get lucky with dr and wep ignore so ark doesnt waste as much time

From what I've read on Max's blog they combined min/max critical damage but originally all classes at level 10 had 5% base critical rate + 20% min crit and 50% max crit, which means new players should start off at 35% critical damage and 5% base crit, but every screenshot shows that this 35% isn't there. Does that mean new characters will do the same damage as normal damage if they crit at that low 5% chance without any source of critical damage? That's going to suck for low level grinding if that's true.
